Este trabajo realiza un análisis económico-financiero de las empresas concesionarias de automóviles en España, utilizando una muestra de empresas procedentes de la base de datos SABI. Asimismo, analiza el perfil económico-financiero que mejor diferencia a las empresas concesionarias, que se han mantenido siendo rentables en el mismo contexto de crisis, de las empresas que han pasado a presentar pérdidas. Para ello se estima un modelo de elección binaria, que permite concluir que las empresas que mejor han sabido sortear la crisis han sido las de mayor tamaño, las que han reducido su nivel de endeudamiento, a la vez que aumentaban su ratio de liquidez y su capacidad de devolución de deuda. Sustainable development, as well as other narratives within the framework of environmental conservation, is often used as an advertising resource to improve a brand image. In this paper, a teaching proposal based on a critical analysis of the discourse of a set of television commercials is presented. Specific attention is given to the car industry, due to its huge environmental implications and its impact in mass media and popular culture.
