This study examined three aspects of maternal homework involvement (i.e., the quantity, quality, and source of initiative) and their direct and indirect associations with adolescents’ task-avoidant behavior in homework situations and academic achievement. In this paper we present an experimental study on real-time collision avoidance with potential fields that are based on 3D point cloud data and processed on the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). The virtual forces from the potential fields serve two purposes. First, they are used for changing the reference trajectory. Second they are projected to and applied on torque control level for generating according nullspace behavior together with a Cartesian impedance main control loop. In gynodioecious plants females need a reproductive advantage over hermaphrodites to be maintained in the same population. Generally, three main proximate causes for a female advantage are considered: inbreeding avoidance, different resource allocation patterns, and differences in ecological interactions. A mechanism potentially causing a female advantage that is rarely discussed is a difference in floral longevity between the genders. Volatile compounds produced by adults of Anchomenus dorsalis under undisturbed and disturbed conditions were investigated with an all-glass aeration apparatus. GC-MS analysis of the crude extracts from undisturbed and disturbed adults highlighted four major volatile compounds, undecane, heneicosane, Z-9 tricosene and tricosane, of which significantly more undecane was released by disturbed adults compared to undisturbed beetles. This data is from the experiment that investigated how wild-caught blue tits and great tits use conspecific and heterospecific information about unpalatable prey, published at the Journal of Animal Ecology (2020). The experiment was conducted at the Konnevesi Research Station from October to December 2017. Sheet 1 (“Main experiment”) contains data from the main avoidance learning experiment. Sheets 2 (“Symbol preference blue tits”) and 3 ("Symbol visibility blue tits") contain data of blue tits' symbol choices in initial preference and visibility tests.

This study examined to what extent children's temperament is related to their affective and behavioral responses in achievement situations.
