Melanomas sastopamība turpina pieaugt visā pasaulē, it īpaši jaunu eiropeīdu pieaugušo vidū. Ir svarīgi identificēt riska faktorus un sniegt zināšanas par melanomu, lai varētu novērst tās rašanos. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot atšķirības starp valstīm un fakultātēm saistībā ar melanomas apzināšanos un riska uzvedību, it īpaši analizējot, vai labāka melanomas apzināšana samazina riska uzvedību. Šis kross-sekcionālais pētījums iekļāva Latvijas un Somijas universitāšu studentus no divām dažādām fakultātēm (medicīnas un fizikas). Background: The relationships among somatic complaints, emotion awareness and mood have been observed in late childhood and adolescence, but very few studies have been carried out in adult populations like this work. This study also incorporates personality dimensions that can exacerbate or reduce the emergence of somatic complaints. Early identification of children at risk of developing reading difficulties is crucial for effective interventions. While orthographies and educational contexts differ, predictors included in early at-risk screening tend to remain rather homogeneous across countries. In this study, we compared longitudinal prediction patterns of being among the 20 percent lowest performing in reading fluency by the end of Grade 1 in Norway (N = 918) and Finland (N =378). Abstract Background Research on insight in patients with mood disorders has grown in recent years. Several instruments to assess insight have been used, but most of them have been specifically designed for psychosis and may not appear relevant to mood disorders. Children with neurodevelopmental disorders often show impairments in sensory processing (SP) and higher functions. The main objective of this study was to compare SP, praxis and social participation (SOC) in four groups of children: ASD Group (n = 21), ADHD Group (n = 21), ASD+ADHD Group (n = 21), and Comparison Group (n = 27). Participants were the parents and teachers of these children who were 5-8 years old (M = 6.32). They completed the Sensory Processing Measure (SPM) to evaluate the sensory profile, praxis and SOC of the children in both the home and classroom contexts.
