12 grudnia 2017 r. zdjęto krzyż z kulą z wieży kościoła parafialnego pw. św. Marcina w Stanicy – ostatniej świątyni zbudowanej przez opactwo cystersów w Rudach przed jego kasatą w 1810 r. W kapsule czasu znajdował się okolicznościowy zapis, sporządzony 20 września 1802 r. W oparciu o lekturę odkrytego dokumentu oraz dostępne opracowania na temat rudzkiego opactwa, autor omawia sytuację opactwa na początku burzliwego XIX w., a także charakteryzuje stan osobowy rudzkiego konwentu. Reading is an essential skill in modern societies, yet not all learners necessarily become proficient readers. Theoretical concepts (e.g., the orthographic depth hypothesis; the grain size theory) as well as empirical evidence suggest that certain orthographies are easier to learn than others. The present paper reviews the literature on orthographic transparency, morphological complexity, and syllabic complexity of alphabetic languages. Abstract The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of teacher preparation based in Professional Development Schools (PDSs) in secondary education in The Netherlands over a period of three years. Approximately 150 teachers in non-PDSs were compared with 50 teachers in PDSs with declining response rates. Classroom observation ratings and student perceptions of PDS teachers in the second year were higher compared to non-PDS teachers. PDS teachers reported higher levels of teacher efficacy in each year. Student teachers' experiences of participating in mixed peer mentoring groups of in-service and pre-service teachers in Finland

This article examines from the student perspective a new Finnish model of teacher development that uses the peer group mentoring (PGM) method for combining pre-service and in-service teacher education. Reflective reports of student teachers (N = 19) who participated in PGM were analyzed using the phenomenographic method. The results show that students' experiences varied from considering the activity as (1) a coffee break or (2) peer-support, to seeing it as (3) identity construction or (4) a way of participating in a professional community.
