The European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH) has been proposed (and officially recognized in our country) as a European alternative to the dominant indices that have a known Anglo-Saxon bias. The aim is to raise the visibility of European research in the Humanities and in various areas of the Social Sciences, in order to improve coverage of the cultural and linguistic diversity of our continent. W artykule przedstawiono doświadczenia Biblioteki Głównej Uniwersytetu Opolskiego w tworzeniu instytucjonalnego repozytorium opartego na wcześniej funkcjonującym systemie ewidencji publikacji. Lokalnie gromadzone dane o publikacjach przekazywane są następnie, na podstawie obowiązujących aktów normatywnych regulujących System Informacji o Nauce, do ministerialnych systemów teleinformatycznych. W tekście omówiono również problemy związane z gromadzeniem i przekazywaniem danych o publikacjach do Modułu Sprawozdawczego Polskiej Bibliografii Naukowej, jednego z modułów Zintegrowanego Systemu Informacji o Nauce i Szkolnictwie Wyższym.

The aim of this chapter is to provide readers with a common thread to the many topics dealt with in this book, which is intermediate and which aims at postgraduate students and young researchers, wishing to intrigue those who are not experts in some of the topics. We also hope that this book will contribute in encouraging new collaborations among disciplines which have stemmed from related problems. In this context, we take the opportunity to recommend the book by Hawkins [18]. A basic bibliography is outlined between the lines.

Se presenta un análisis de la evolución histórico-jurídi ca de los Archivos de Distrito (AD) portugueses, como instituciones que asumen la salvaguarda del patrimo nio público-administrativo del país. Para ello se revisa la bibliografía más relevante sobre el tema, así como la documentación histórica, legal y política, describien do su historia desde sus orígenes y los nuevos caminos que se van trazando, en relación con el aumento de la accesibilidad a la documentación que gestionan y a las nuevas estrategias de difusión de la información entre la ciudadanía. Todo ello en el marco de las distintas ini ciativas de modernización administrativa y las nuevas tecnologías disponibles.
