The Link Between Standardization and Economic Growth: A Bibliometric Analysis

We analyze the link between standardization and economic growth by systematically reviewing leading economics journals, leading economic growth researchers’ articles, and economic growth-related books. We make the following observations: 1) No article has analyzed the link between standardization and economic growth in top5 economics journals between 1996 and 2018. 2) A representative sample of the leading researchers of economic growth has allocated little attention to the link between standardization and economic growth. 3) Typically, economic growth textbooks do not contain “standards” or “standardization” in their word indexes. The phenomenon of crowdfunding has been widely studied, while the sustainability of crowdfunded ventures is attracting growing interest from academia and society. In light of this interest, we conducted bibliometric analysis to study the relationship between crowdfunding and crowdfunded ventures’ sustainability orientation. We analyzed the number of publications, type of publications, and most productive countries, journals, and authors. We also analyzed the most cited articles and examined their approach to sustainability and crowdfunding. The results suggested that a sustainability orientation could bring about change in the current financial and environmental system.
Problems and perspectives of ophthalmic research in Germany: results from a national survey.

<b><i>Purpose:</i></b> To identify and describe the most relevant obstacles to carrying out ophthalmic research in Germany. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> Two research methods were used to assess current problems in ophthalmic research. First, 55 expert interviews were conducted with major stakeholders in ophthalmic research, and key problems were identified. An online questionnaire was then sent to 3,080 German ophthalmologists, of whom 927 responded by evaluating the current research situation within ophthalmology in Germany. Spanish scientific production in literature through a gender perspective in the Web of Science (1975-2017)

[ES]: Se realiza un estudio comparativo desagregado por sexos de la producción científica en literatura de los investigadores que trabajan en instituciones españolas. Se han identificado 806 autores que han publicado algún trabajo de literatura en revistas indexadas en la WoS hasta el año 2017, analizando comparativamente su productividad y patrones de colaboración considerando la variable sexo. El 55.51 % de los autores identificados fueron hombres frente a un 44.49 % de mujeres. Los resultados muestran que entre los grandes productores del ámbito de la literatura predominan los hombres. [EN]: [Objective]: The objectives of this paper are to analyze the Spanish scientific production in nursing, define its temporal evolution, its geographical and institutional distribution, and observe the interinstitutional collaboration. [Method]: We analyze a comprehensive sample of Spanish scientific production in the nursing area extracted from the multidisciplinary database SciVerse Scopus.
