Revista electrónica de investigación y evaluación educativa

2020

Digital Resilience to Normal Accidents in High-Reliability Organizations

2021

Digital technologies play a dual role on organizational resilience. On one side, digital systems introduce new technological risks. On the other side, digital systems increase the performances in response to hazardous accidents. Normal Accident Theory (NAT) and High-Reliability Organization (HRO) provide useful ground to explain the dynamics of digital resilience. However, the two theories have been either used as alternatives or with one theory dominating the other. We posit that to fully understand digital resilience we need to integrate NAT and HRO concepts instead of using them in isolation. We conduct a bibliometric analysis to identify major themes and application domains characterizi…

Analysis of scientific production in spanish implantology

2017

Background The aim of the study was to quantify the scientific productivity of researchers, organizations, and regions in Spain that publish articles on implantology in dental journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports. Material and Methods A search was conducted among the core collection of Thomson Reuters’ Web of Science database, on the basis of its broad thematic and geographic coverage of health sciences. The search identified original articles – the main vehicle for the dissemination of research results. The search was conducted in July 2016, applying the truncated search term ‘implant*’ to locate original articles on implantology and its derivative forms. The search was conducted w…

Bibliometric analysis of publications by South African viticulture and oenology research centres

2012

We analysed the production, impact factor of, and scientific collaboration involved in viticulture and oenology articles associated with South African research centres published in international journals during the period 1990–2009. The articles under scrutiny were obtained from the Science Citation Index database, accessed via the Web of Knowledge platform. The search strategy employed specific viticulture and oenology terms and was restricted to the field ‘topic’. The results showed that 406 articles were published during the review period, with the most number of publications being in the South African Journal of Enology and Viticulture (n = 34), American Journal of Enology and Vit…

Sharing-collaborative economy in tourism: A bibliometric analysis and perspectives for the post-pandemic era

2021

Sharing economy research has risen exponentially during the last 4 years. Although several theoretical revisions on this topic have been developed, a conceptual analysis based on bibliometric techniques and science mapping tools is lacking. Within this framework, this article has two aims: (i) to carry on a performance analysis to identify the outstanding themes and (ii) to visually present the scientific structure by topics of research in sharing-collaborative economy as well as its evolution to identify future directions. The resources in the Web of Science Citation Index were used. Intelligent techniques and, more specifically, the SciMAT tool (based on co-word analysis and h-index anal…

Interplays Between Corporate Reputation And Media – A Bibliometric Analysis

2020

Abstract As strategic asset – determinant of sustained competitiveness – corporate/firm reputation has a very distinctive feature that sets it apart: although reflection of (better, worse or not at all performed) reputation management at a company’s level, it is rather a “representation” / “perception” – built on a business’s previous behaviors, but more precisely on the ways its different stakeholders have interacted (acknowledged, internalized, resonated) with them – in a (sometimes unconscious) process highly mediated and moderated by the media. Thus, the current study aims to explore the interplays between corporate/firm reputation and media as they are reflected in the scientific liter…

Connecting the Dots: A Bibliometric Analysis of the Link Between Standardization and Economic Growth

2020

We analyze the attention that is allocated to the link between standardization and economic growth by systematically reviewing leading economics journals, leading economic growth researchers’ articles and economic growth-related books. The following observations are made: No article has analyzed the link between standardization and economic growth in top5 economics journals between 1996 and 2018. A representative sample of the leading researchers of economic growth has allocated little attention to the link between standardization and economic growth. Typically, economic growth textbooks do not contain “standards” or “standardization” in their word indexes. To summarize, economic growth the…

Dental research in Spain. A bibliometric analysis on subjects, authors and institutions (1993-2012)

2016

Background Bibliometrics is defined as the use of statistical methods in the analysis of a body of literature to reveal the historical development of subject fields and patterns of authorship, publication, and use. Our objective was to characterize Spanish scientific output in Dentistry through the analysis of Web of Science database in a 20-year period. By means of a bibliometric study documents were statistically analyzed using indicators that showed quantitative and qualitative aspects of the production. Specifically, time course of the scientific production within the time span was analysed, as were the journals where the article was published and the categories of Journal Citation Repo…

Bibliometric analysis of European publications between 2001 and 2016 on concentrations of selected elements in mushrooms.

2020

This article presents a bibliometric study of 200 European publications released between 2001 and 2016, about the contamination of mushrooms by selected elements. The analysis includes figures on the type of analyte, its concentration, the species of fungi, and its country of origin. In the literature review, 492 species of mushrooms (wild-growing and cultured) found in 26 European countries and their concentration of 74 associated elements were analysed. The papers, which dealt mainly with the heavy metal (Cd, Cu, Fe, Pb, and Zn) concentrations of mushrooms, primarily came from Turkey, Poland, Spain, and the Czech Republic. More than 50% of the publications provided data about edible mushr…

A Bibliometric Analysis of the HICSS Software Technology Track

2020

The HICSS Software Technology track has a long tradition and many papers have been published as part of its history. Its impact in terms of citations, paper contributions, author share and community impact does not yet seem to have been investigated, though. In particular, software technology has evolved, and as it stands, it is of primary importance for mobile computing, the Internet-of-Things and Cyber-physical Systems. Hence, the development of these topics and the related impact of this track are of particular interest. In this paper, we present a bibliographic analysis as a first step towards such an investigation. We found that the history of the track is indeed noteworthy. Our result…
