Regional and age-dependent differences in the effect of wind on the migratory routes of Eleonora's Falcon.

During migration, birds can show different responses to wind in relation to distance to the goal, experience, ecological barriers and visibility of landmarks. We analysed the effect of wind (tailwinds and crosswinds) on daily movement rates (forward and perpendicular) of Eleonora’s falcons using ARGOS satellite telemetry, during their trans-continental autumn migration to Madagascar, in relation to the different crossed regions and individuals’ age class. El VIH o virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana tiene un gran impacto sanitario, social y económico; las terapias actuales permiten controlar la infección pero no se ha encontrado tratamiento curativo ni vacuna efectiva. Para conseguir estos objetivos, debe tenerse en cuenta la gran variabilidad genética y rápida evolución del VIH, asociadas, por ejemplo, a la aparición de variantes de resistencia a fármacos o de cambios antigénicos.

The purpose of this article is to approach the didactic treatment of biodiversity conservation issues from the double perspective of scientific literacy and environmental education. We attempt to provide ideas on how articulating their respective theoretical speeches with practice in biological education; understanding the need to fit principles and goals that characterize them, with the processes of teaching and learning concepts, values, processes and techniques; significantly necessary to develop of citizenship, critical interpretation and based decision-making capacities, related to the political proposals and measures on biodiversity conservation.
