La incorporación de las competencias básicas al currículo escolar ha planteado la necesidad de definir las competencias en salud que el estudiante debe alcanzar cuando finalice la enseñanza obligatoria. De ahí que este grupo de investigación haya elaborado unos estándares de competencias que tratan de dar respuesta a los principales problemas de salud. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar los recursos y actividades sobre Climatología que se proponen en los manuales de texto de Primaria (3er Ciclo; Ciencias Sociales) de la Comunidad Valenciana (España). Textbooks as ‘Neoliberal artifacts’: a critical study of knowledge-making in ELT industry

The present study examined the traces of neoliberal ideology in O-level English language textbooks taught in elitist private schools in Pakistan that follow the UK-based international educational system administrated by the University of Cambridge under the General Certificate of Education (GCE). Analysis in the study was informed by Fairclough's CDA writings. Moreover, Bourdieu's views on neoliberalism were also considered to shed some light on neoliberal ideology in the textbooks. Augsts angļu valodas prasmes līmenis ir viena no prasībām darbam aviācijas nozarē, kur angļu valoda ir darba valoda. Pētījumā tika izmantota gadījuma izpēte, kuras mērķis bija izvērtēt izvēlēto stjuartu angļu valodas mācību grāmatu un tiešsaistes materiālu lietderību valodas apguvei pašmācības ceļā. Pētījumā iesaistītie stjuarti vēlējās uzlabot visas valodu prasmes, kā arī uzskatīja, ka šādos materiālos ir jābūt iekļautiem ar gramatiku, leksiku un izrunu saistītiem uzdevumiem, pārbaudes darbiem, vizuāliem līdzekļiem, apgūstamo vārdu sarakstiem un dažādiem papildmateriāliem. The purpose of this paper is to reconsider the issue of the creativity of textbook writing by exploring the links between nineteenth-century French textbooks and the quest for a classification of elements. The first section presents the elegant combination of didactic and chemical constraints invented by eighteenth-century chemists: the order of learning - from the known to the unknown - and the order of things - from the simple to the complex - were one and the same. In the ancient medical literature hydrocephalus was not often described although its existence and symptomatology were well known. Most detailed descriptions of hydrocephalus including the surgical treatment are extant in the encyclopaedic works on medicine of the physicians Oreibasios and Aetios from Amida from the 4th and 6th centuries AD, respectively. Because of their broad scientific interests, this type of physicians, typical for the late Roman empire, were known as philosophy-physicians (iota alpha tau rho o sigma o phi iota sigma tau alpha iota). The aim of the article is an analysis of the contemporary Polish-Chinese language contacts, evaluated on the basis of the presence of the course books for teaching Chinese to Poles, phrase books and bilingual dictionaries in the Polish market. The recent growth o f interest in learning Chinese translates not only into the availability of the international teaching materials, but also into the creation of new publications with Polish as the language of instruction. The Chinese culture is promoted intensively, inter alia, by the Confucius Institute, by the sinology institutes appearing at more and more universities and by the Chinese as a foreign language courses.
