Aesthetic responses to music: A questionnaire study

We explored the content and structure of the cognitive, knowledge-based concept underlying aesthetic responses to music. To this aim, we asked 290 Finnish students to verbally associate the aesthetic value of music and to write down a list of appropriate adjectives within a given time limit. No music was presented during the task. In addition, information about participants’ musical background was collected. Impact of textual data augmentation on linguistic pattern extraction to improve the idiomaticity of extractive summaries

The main aim of this research is to provide children who have an early language delay with an adaptive way to train their vocabulary taking into account individuality of the learner. The suggested system is a mobile game-based learning environment which provides simple tasks where the learner chooses a picture that corresponds to a played back sound from multiple pictures presented on the screen. If abstraction makes mathematics strong, it often makes it also hard to learn, if not discouraging. If math pedagogy suffers from the lack of engaging strategies, the pedagogy of mathematical music theory must deal with the additional difficulty of double fields and double vocabulary. Little is known, however, about the quality of shared reading and its developmental implications in families with reading disabilities. Associations between private speech, behavioral self-regulation, and cognitive abilities

We examined the associations between 5-year-old children’s private speech, behavioural self-regulation, and cognitive abilities. Behavioural self-regulation was assessed using parental and preschool teacher questionnaires. Cognitive abilities (i.e., language, inhibition, planning and fluency, and memory) were assessed with neurocognitive tests, and the effectiveness of private speech (i.e., whether the child performs better when using speech than when not using speech) with the Hammer Task.
