Let Y be a smooth, connected, projective complex curve of genus ≥0. R. Biggers and M. Fried [J. Reine Angew. Math. 335, 87–121 (1982; Zbl 0484.14002), Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 295, No. 1, 59–70 (1986; Zbl 0601.14022)] proved the irreducibility of the Hurwitz spaces which parametrize coverings of ℙ 1 whose monodromy group is a Weyl of type W(D d ). Here we prove the irreducibility of Hurwitz spaces that parametrize coverings of Y with monodromy group a Weyl group of type W(B d ).
Some families of big and stable bundles on $K3$ surfaces and on their Hilbert schemes of points

Here we investigate meaningful families of vector bundles on a very general polarized $K3$ surface $(X,H)$ and on the corresponding Hyper--Kaehler variety given by the Hilbert scheme of points $X^{[k]}:= {\rm Hilb}^k(X)$, for any integer $k \geqslant 2$. In particular, we prove results concerning bigness and stability of such bundles. First, we give conditions on integers $n$ such that the twist of the tangent bundle of $X$ by the line bundle $nH$ is big and stable on~$X$; we then prove a similar result for a natural twist of the tangent bundle of $X^{[k]}$. On the K-stability of complete intersections in polarized manifolds

We consider the problem of existence of constant scalar curvature Kaehler metrics on complete intersections of sections of vector bundles. In particular we give general formulas relating the Futaki invariant of such a manifold to the weight of sections defining it and to the Futaki invariant of the ambient manifold. As applications we give a new Mukai-Umemura-Tian like example of Fano 5-fold admitting no Kaehler-Einstein metric and a strong evidence of K-stability of complete intersections on Grassmannians.

The occurrence of left bundle branch block (LBBB) is quite common in clinical practice. The changes in cardiac repolarization, caused by this disorder of electric conduction, may mask the presence of an acute myocardial infarction (AMI), delaying the diagnostic-therapeutic iter, with an important impact on prognosis. We describe the case of a woman of 59 years with LBBB, came to our observation for a constrictive chest pain associated with dyspnea. The use of corpora has conventionally been envisioned as being either corpus-based or corpus-driven. While the formal definition of the latter term has been widely accepted since it was established by Tognini-Bonelli (2001), it is often applied to studies that do not, in fact, fullfil the fundamental requirement of a theory-neutral starting point. This volume proposes the term pattern-driven as a more precise alternative. Background The aim of this retrospective study was to compare the morphological features of neurovascular canals and foramina of patients with medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws (MRONJ) and healthy individuals by using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
