On modified α-ϕ-fuzzy contractive mappings and an application to integral equations

Abstract We introduce the notion of a modified α-ϕ-fuzzy contractive mapping and prove some results in fuzzy metric spaces for such kind of mappings. The theorems presented provide a generalization of some interesting results in the literature. Two examples and an application to integral equations are given to illustrate the usability of our theory.

Jedną z podstawowych funkcji miasta jest zapewnienie mieszkańcom obszaru do rekreacji, wypoczynku i zacieśniania więzi społecznych. Obecnie szybki rozwój terenów zurbanizowanych utrudnia aranżowanie przyjaznych przestrzeni publicznych. Sposobem na ich stworzenie mogą stać się narzędzia i rozwiązania wypracowane w ramach logistyki miasta, która jako jeden z celów przyjmuje zaspokajanie potrzeb mieszkańców, podkreślając znaczenie miasta jako organizacji społecznej. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest identyfikacja roli logistyki w kreowaniu przestrzeni publicznej na obszarze zurbanizowanym.

The paper analyses two marches of resistance in Palermo with references to the public space as in Goheen’s (1998) theses. In the first one, the public space gradually loses relevance and presents the citizens as consumers; in the second one, it remains an arena of the fights of those groups that claim to visibility and recognition. The itinerant ritual of Wu Ming 2 and the last Gay Pride in Palermo are the two kinds of march capable of creating collective spaces. Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi, że część środowisk w Polsce powtarza krzywdzącą opinię, według której Polacy byli w okresie powstań śląskich odwróceni do tego regionu plecami. Stanowisko takie miało swoje podłoże w rozczarowaniu części mieszkańców Górnego Śląska skalą pomocy, jaką walczącym w powstaniach Ślązakom udzielało państwo polskie. Takie oceny abstrahowały jednak od wewnętrznej oraz międzynarodowej sytuacji Polski w latach 1919–1921. Differential of metric valued Sobolev maps

We introduce a notion of differential of a Sobolev map between metric spaces. The differential is given in the framework of tangent and cotangent modules of metric measure spaces, developed by the first author. We prove that our notion is consistent with Kirchheim's metric differential when the source is a Euclidean space, and with the abstract differential provided by the first author when the target is $\mathbb{R}$.
Mappings of finite distortion between metric measure spaces

We establish the basic analytic properties of mappings of finite distortion between proper Ahlfors regular metric measure spaces that support a ( 1 , 1 ) (1,1) -Poincaré inequality. As applications, we prove that under certain integrability assumption for the distortion function, the branch set of a mapping of finite distortion between generalized n n -manifolds of type A A has zero Hausdorff n n -measure.
