Les terroirs viticoles : une méthodologie de zonage en fonction du sol
2010
Terroir is a key-concept in viticulture that is more and more widely recognized to explain variations in wine quality and wine style. Terroir refers to an area and thus possesses a geographical dimension. Hence, zoning of viticultural terroir is necessary. This paper addresses soil related aspects of terroir zoning. The first step of the zoning process is a clear identification of the objectives that are being pursued: demarcation of production areas, the adaptation of the viticultural management practices to variations in soil types or the protection of viticultural landscapes. The second step is the definition of a scale adapted to the objectives. The precision of the zoning increases wit…
Assessing environmental noise exposure: does the size of the neighbourhood matter?
2013
International audience; In environmental epidemiology, studies rely on the quantification of subject'sexposures in a surface defined as the subject exposure area. For outdoor exposure, this area is often considered as the subject's neighbourhood. But, depending on the authors, the size and the nature of this neighbourhood differs, making difficult to compare results. In order to study the impact of the sampling surface on the noise exposure values affected to a subject, a high definition environmental noise model has been builton a middle-sized French city. Outdoor neighbourhood noise indices were computed at 10,394 residential buildings, using eight different sizes of buffers defined by di…
Characterization of Pea (Pisum Sativum L.) genes implicated in arbuscular mycorrhiza formation and function
2010
The arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) association results from a successful interaction between the genomes of the two symbiotic partners. In this context, the aim of my research was to better characterize the role of the late stage symbiosis-related pea genes PsSym36, PsSym33 and PsSym40 in the functional AM (i) by investigating the effect of mutations in the three genes on fungal and plant gene responses and (ii) by creating conditions for the localization of two of the genes, PsSym36 and PsSym40, on the pea genetic map for future map-based cloning. The expression of a subset of ten fungal and eight plant genes, previously reported to be activated during mycorrhiza development, was compared in G…

Crustacés amphipodes de surface (Gammares d'eau douce)
2012

Novel bibliographic maps to guide research units
2014
National audience; Publication is a major issue for research evaluation. As a consequence research units need strategies to improve their publications. Bibliometry and cartography are new tools to study the publications of research teams. In particular bibliometry give an overall picture and good criteria to choose a strategy for publishing and to guide the priorities of research. Here we studied the publications of the INRA Agroécologie research unit, Dijon. This unit has 107 scientists and professors, equivalent 80 full-time positions for research, and published 125 original articles in 2012. We present several examples of maps and measurements obtained using Web of science, Excel, Sphinx…
