It is the objective of this study to etablish the technique of laparoscopic exposure of all pelvic somatic and autonomous nerves. In all our patients who underwent a laparoscopic surgical approach of the retroperitoneum, exposure and assessment of the exposed nerves using laparoscopic neuro-navigation were performed. Laparoscopic surgery allows the surgical approach to all pelvic nerves, particularly to the sciatic nerve, the pudendal nerve and the splanchnic pelvic nerves. We describe a cartography of the functional anatomy of the pelvic plexus and elaborate on the concept of "laparoscopic pelvic functional surgery". © 2004 Taylor & Francis.

DNA barcoding facilitates many evolutionary and ecological studies, including the examination of the dietary diversity of herbivores. In this study, we present a survey of ecological associations between herbivorous beetles and host plants from seriously threatened European steppic grasslands. This note reports on incidental observations of the early development of the third-stage larvae of Hysterothylacium aduncum from gadid fishes. Gravid H. aduncum females were collected from Pollachius virens, Pollachius pollachius. Gadus morhua, and Molva molva in Norwegian waters. The eggs were incubated at 20 per thousand salinity and 5 C. Spontaneous hatching of third-stage larvae was observed 10-25 days after egg deposition. These larvae were long lived and could infect Acartia tonsa copepods, the infections being maintained for up to 34 days. Bilateral vocal cord paralysis is a serious illness requiring emergency intervention to resolve the potentially life-threatening respiratory distress. Several surgical procedures were proposed to help improve the airway and to eliminate the tracheostoma in those patients with permanent paralysis. Thyroid cartilage involvement in patient affected by IgA multiple myeloma: case report.

Neoplasms originating from plasma cell are rare in the head and neck region. A correct clinical evaluation is very important in order to formulate a differential diagnosis as well as to distinguish local from metastatic disease. We report a case of larynx involvement by an IgA multiple myeloma in a 69-year-old female diagnosed in October 2004 and treated with chemotherapy; the 1 year control do not show progression of disease and the laryngeal lesion is unchanged. We highlight the radiological findings and clinical features to suspect plasma cell tumors in cases with a similar presentation.

Nell'ambito dei rilievi dei beni culturali è opportuno ed utile trovare sistemi alternativi ed innovativi per il rilievo, la catalogazione e la fruizione virtuale, la riproduzione materica dei modelli generati.
