Dans les prairies d'altitude, les dégâts provoqués par le campagnol terrestre posent un problème économique et agricole récurrent depuis le début des années 70. Dans la lutte contre cette peste agricole, l'utilisation croissante d'un anticoagulant rodenticide, la bromadiolone, a en plus considérablement augmenté la mortalité de nombreuses espèces animales, notamment de rapaces (légalement protégés), de renards et de sangliers. Dès le début du siècle, les recherches sur les variations de populations de rongeurs ont montré que la densité de certaines espèces de petits mammifères (lemmings, campagnols, etc.) fluctue de manière plus ou moins cyclique.

A number of experiments using ground-based and airborne sensors have shown the high potential of L-band passive microwave radiometry for estimating and monitoring surface soil moisture. This has led to the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) mission, a European Space Agency (ESA) Earth Explorer Opportunity mission. SMOS has the objective to observe soil moisture over land and sea surface salinity over sea, both key parameters for atmospheric, oceanographic and hydrological predictive models. In this article, it is studied the market of land lease in the Valentian rural society in the end of the Middle Age. Using notarial sources and court rolls, it is possible to know the economic function that exercised this forms of land management in the agrarian system. The penetration of urban capital through this kind of contracts was always limited. Dentate gyrus (DG) is important for pattern separation and spatial memory, and it is thought to gate information flow to the downstream hippocampal subregions. Dentate spikes (DSs) are high-amplitude, fast, positive local-field potential events taking place in the DG during immobility and sleep, and they have been connected to memory consolidation in rodents. DSs are a result of signaling from the entorhinal cortex (EC) to the DG, and they suppress firing of pyramidal cells in the CA3 and CA1. “Travailler plus pour gagner plus” (“Work more to earn more”) was a slogan of right-wing candidate Nicolas Sarkozy during the 2007 French presidential election, which proposed exempting overtime working hours from taxation. In this article, I develop a cultural analysis of this political slogan. Its linguistic interest lies in its poetic and theatrical dimensions. The slogan is embedded in a rich cultural context: it refers to a doxa in right-wing discourse, according to which the “social model” should be replaced with a liberal model that also rescues the “value of work”.
