Bakalaura darba mērķis – izpētīt Balvu Centrālās bibliotēkas lasīšanas veicināšanas pasākumus, kuri paredzēti bērniem no septiņu līdz astoņpadsmit gadu vecumam. Pētījuma teorētiskās bāzes pamatā ir Erika Ēriksona personības psihosociālā attīstības teorija, un filozofa Žana Piažē kognitīvā attīstības teorija, kas sniedz padziļinātāku ieskatu bērna personības attīstības posmos. Izvirzītā mērķa sasniegšanai pielietotas trīs pētniecības metodes – intervija, novērošana un dokumentu analīze. Darba ietvaros notika trīs intervijas, divu pasākumu un to dalībnieku novērošana un Balvu Centrālās bibliotēkas darba pārskatu analīze no 2010. līdz 2017. gadam. Study of Bs->PhiGamma decays at LHCb

This thesis describes two different analyses performed at LHCb using the B0s→φγ and B0→K∗0γ decay channels. First, the measurement of the ratio of branching fractions B(B0→K∗0γ)/B(B0s→φγ) is presented, giving the most precise value for B(B0s→φγ) to date. Secondly, the CP-violating observables S and C, as well as the mixing-induced A∆ parameter are measured through a time-dependent analysis of the B0s→φγ decay channel, this being the first time the S and C observables are probed in the Bs system. Poikkitieteelliset sovellukset ovat viime aikoina yleistyneet tieteellisessä tutkimuksessa. Tämä näkyy hyvin esimerkiksi elävän kudoksen kuvantamisen kehittymisessä, jota varten etsitään jatkuvasti parempia biologisia leimoja fysiikan ja kemian keinoin. Tässä tutkielmassa on kehitetty ensimmäinen lähi-infrapuna-alueen fluoresenssileima, joka hyödyntää hopeananopartikkeleja ja fytokromeja. Kompleksi on syntetisoitu itse ja sen rakenne on todennettu optisen spektroskopian, elektroforeesin ja elektronimikroskopian keinoin. Sepsis represents an important global health burden due to its high mortality and morbidity. The rapid detection of sepsis is crucial in order to prevent adverse outcomes and reduce mortality. However, the diagnosis of sepsis is still challenging and many efforts have been made to identify reliable biomarkers. Unfortunately, many investigated biomarkers have several limitations that do not support their introduction in clinical practice, such as moderate diagnostic and prognostic accuracy, long turn-around time, and high-costs.
