Designing patient education and counseling practices
2013
Patient education and counselling are essential constituents of interaction between a patient and a healthcare organisation. This study explores patient education and counselling practices, focusing on the opportunities of modern technology in the development of interaction with patients. With the help of a qualitative study we illustrate nurses' conceptions about the topic and discuss future opportunities. Our approach is distinctively patient centred; all discussion about the use of technology is from the point-of-view of patient's well-being and empowerment.

Miejskie obszary funkcjonalne mają istotne znaczenie w realizacji zarówno Krajowej Polityki Miejskiej 2023, jak i terytorialnej polityki rozwoju. Celem badania jest określenie poziomu rozwoju obszarów funkcjonalnych miast wojewódzkich Polski. Badania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem metody taksonomicznej w ujęciu dynamicznym obejmującym okres 2005-2015. Podstawę wyznaczenia wielkości taksonomicznych stanowił zestaw wskaźników diagnostycznych ujętych w trzech wymiarach rozwoju: społecznym, gospodarczym i środowiskowym. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 45 lapām. Tas satur 28 attēlus un 40 literatūras atsauces. Darba mērķis bija izvērtēt optometriskās ārstēšanas ietekmi uz stājas izmaiņām. 11 pacientiem tika veikti mērījumi ar datorizētu stabilometrijas platformu pirms un pēc redzes treniņu veikšanas. Pacientam stāvot ar atvērtām acīm, pēc redzes treniņiem svara sadalījums bija sabalansētāks priekšēji-mugurējās ass virzienā, spiediena centrs nobīdījās tuvāk teorētiskajam centram, kā arī svārstību ātrums, amplitūda un laukums samazinājās. This paper deals with the analysis of current changes which have been recently shaping unprecedented urban structures in some suburban areas, due to the emerging of new consumptions spaces. In particular, the work aims at highlighting the effect of urban sprawl on the main Sicilian metropolitan areas, also moulded by the diffusion of the suburban retailing formats, in order to evaluate to what extent these dynamics have been contributing to the configuration of new urban landscapes and unprecedented socio-economic structures, not to mention the support in the process of containing social and economic marginalisation.
