A consideration of citizen science.In this work, we collected records of Eurasian Thick-knee observa-tions in Sicily by using scientific literature, citizen science programs, and social networks as data sources. Wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) is a powerful tool that can be used to gain information on the structure and dynamics of proteins and other biomolecules in solution. Improved methods for the calculation of WAXS patterns from available or putative protein models allow to better exploit the structural information contained in the experimental data. These methods, together with recent applications of static and time-resolved WAXS, are briefly reviewed.

International audience; The response of photosynthetic activity to interannual rainfall variations in Africa South of the Sahara is examined using 20 years (1981-2000) of Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) AVHRR data. Linear correlations and regressions were computed between annual NDVI and annual rainfall at a 0.5° latitude/longitude resolution, based on two gridded precipitation datasets (Climate Prediction Center Merged Analysis of Precipitation [CMAP] and Climatic Research Unit [CRU]). Darbā analizēta Liepājas ostas akvatorijas zivju sabiedrība, tās sezonālās izmaiņas, un to galvenie ietekmējošie faktori. Datu ievākšana, veicot kontrolzveju ar zinātniskajiem tīkliem trīs gadu garumā, četrās sezonās (rudens, ziema, pavasaris, vasara) sniedz precīzu ieskatu par zivju sugu sezonālajām izmaiņām. Papildus ievāktie hidroloģiskie dati ļauj spriest par galvenajiem ietekmējošajiem faktoriem.
