The essay is dedicated to the voice of Yvette Guilbert. Two songs that were in her repertoire are analyzed: "Partie Carrée" et "D'elle à lui". The last part is dedicated to a correspondence between Yvette Guilbert and Sigmund Freud, about the art of the performance.

The present study is centered on the Spanish-speaking world in a diachronic perspective, and aims to highlight recognizable recurring elements in compositions in which a poetic feminine voice expresses its feelings. Some poetic constraints are at work from the earliest compositions of female lyricism in Spain (cantigas de amigo) and one notices formal and thematic constants in more recent traditional songs (romancero and cancionero). Our analysis focuses then on the poetic work of Violeta Parra (Décimas and some canciones), who has made formal choices which are usually exclusively used by masculine authors. "Radio, guinguettes, chansons et jazz dans le roman aragonien"

Tackling the question of the presence of song in Aragon’s novels may seem paradoxical or unimportant, if one were to limit their analysis to the numerous poems by Aragon to be put into music by contemporary singers – or today’s composers. Musical adaptations of his texts deal with an era of his production which begins in the 1930s, when Aragon advocates for song, particularly with the creation of the Maison de la Culture – and also a moment when he becomes a novelist. The analysis of some textual phenomena, in parallel with the references to songs in his novels, should allow us to grasp the kind of poetic realism at work in Aragon’s productions.
