Structural examination data are presented for various supports. Porosimetry (Table 2) and particle size distribution studies on MgCl 2, MgCl 2(THF) 2, Al 2O 3 as supports, carried out prior to and after ball-milling (Figs. 1, 3), suggest that MgCl 2 is beneficial as carrier because it is more liable to pretreatment (ball-milling, presence of a Lewis base) and allows its mass to be better utilized and its surface to produce catalytically active centers. Con el objetivo de contribuir al conocimiento de los ecosistemas naturales del país, se determinó las características edáficas y la composición florística del bosque estacionalmente seco (La Menta, 04º 43' 55" LS y 80º 04' 55" LO, provincia de Piura y Timbes, 04º 44' 58" LS y 80º 03' 33" LO, provincia de Ayabaca), ambos en la región Piura, Perú. Inside the project “Piano per la Produzione di Proteine Vegetali in Sicilia” investigations were carried out to characterize a bean population cultivated in the Parco delle Madonie area, the ‘Fagiolo Badda di Polizzi’. The producers’ interest for this landrace and the appreciation of the consumers could justify the start up of a valorization program through a product certification. Researches on the morpho-physiological aspects and on the nutritional profile were made in trials conducted between 2005 and 2007. International audience; Twelve structurally related pyridyl and meso-N-methylpyridylporphyrin derivatives are investigated electrochemically in different nonaqueous media. The UV/Vis spectrum of each newly investigated porphyrin was measured before and after electro-reduction and, based on this data, the site of electron transfer is proposed. An interaction occurs between the meso-pyridyl or meso-N-alkyl-4-pyridyl substituents and the porphyrin p-ring system, the magnitude of which depends upon the number of linked pyridyl or N-alkyl-4-pyridyl groups in the compound, the solvent, the supporting electrolyte, and/or other anions added to the solution.

Abstract Peach genotypes in Southern Italy include the white-flesh ‘Pesca di Bivona’ (‘Murtiddara’, ‘Bianca’, ‘Agostina’ and ‘Settembrina’) and the yellow-flesh ‘Pesca di Leonforte’ (‘Settembrina’, ‘Giallone’ and ‘Ottobrina’ ) landraces, with non-melting clingstone fruit, characterized by a persistent aroma and an excellent flavor that is highly appreciated by consumers. 1H 2D-NMR characterization of Ni(II)-substituted azurin fromPseudomonas aeruginosa

1 H two-dimemional NMR experiments on nickel(II)-substituted azurin have been succesfully applied. Despite the short relaxation time of the hyperfine-shifted resonances, the combined use of NOESY and COSY spectra allowed the alignment of 15 resonances belonging to the metal-coordinated residues Gly-45, His-46, His-117 and Met-121. Even in the case of the two broad and furthest downfield resonances, the NOESY spectra were successful in assigning these signals to the β-CH 2 protons of Cys-112. The protons of the non-coordinated residues Met-13, Phe-15 and Trp-48 were also assigned via NOESY, COSY and TOCSY experiments
