Iterated Conditionals and Characterization of P-Entailment

In this paper we deepen, in the setting of coherence, some results obtained in recent papers on the notion of p-entailment of Adams and its relationship with conjoined and iterated conditionals. We recall that conjoined and iterated conditionals are suitably defined in the framework of conditional random quantities. Right-Justified Characterization for Generating Regular Pattern Avoiding Permutations

ECO-method and its corresponding succession rules allow to recursively define and construct combinatorial objects. The induced generating trees can be coded by corresponding pattern avoiding permutations. We refine succession rules by using succession functions in case when avoided patterns are regular or c-regular. Although regular patterns are hard to be recognized in general, we give a characterization for its right-justified property which is a prerequisite in the definition of the regular pattern. The Equationally-Defined Commutator in Quasivarieties Generated by Two-Element Algebras

The notion of the equationally-defined commutator was introduced and thoroughly investigated in (Czelakowski, 2015). In this work the properties of the equationally-defined commutator in quasivarieties generated by two-element algebras are examined. It is proved: If a quasivariety Q is generated by a finite set of two-element algebras, then the equationally-defined commutator of Q is additive (Theorem 3.1) Moreover it satisfies the associativity law (Theorem 3.6). International audience; Zinc (Zn) isotope ratios of dental enamel are a promising tracer for dietary reconstruction in archeology, but its use is still in its infancy. A recent study demonstrated a high risk of Zn contamination from nitrile, and latex gloves used during chemical sample preparation. Here we assess the potential impact of the use of such gloves during enamel sampling on the Zn isotope composition of teeth from a population of early Holocene hunter gatherers from Lapa do Santo, Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais, Brazil. In electrical impedance tomography one seeks to recover the spatial conductivity distribution inside a body from knowledge of the Neumann--Dirichlet map. In many practically relevant situations the conductivity is smooth apart from some inhomogeneities where the conductivity jumps to a higher or lower value. An explicit characterization of these inclusions is developed in this paper. Colorimetric Characterization of Mobile Devices for Vision Applications

Purpose: Available applications for vision testing in mobile devices usually do not include detailed setup instructions, sacrificing rigor to obtain portability and ease of use. In particular, colorimetric characterization processes are generally obviated. We show that different mobile devices differ also in colorimetric profile and that those differences limit the range of applications for which they are most adequate. Taking into account the framework of denotational mathematics as seen by Yingxu Wang, in this paper the author wishes to implement a possible further pragmatic (context-depend) dimension into the algebraic structure of concept algebra. One of the main problems of software science is that regarding context-depend question of a programming language. Indeed, attention has been paid above all to syntactic and semantic dimensions of a programming language, neglecting the pragmatic one concerning context. Nanomaterials display novel properties to which most toxicologists have not consciously been exposed before the advent of their practical use. The same properties, small size and particular shape, large surface area and surface activity, which make nanomaterials attractive in many applications, may contribute to their toxicological profile.
