Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a pandemic infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus SARS-COV-2. Aberrant innate immunity response and cytokine storm are responsible for the syndrome. Apparently, in asthmatic patients, the inadequate antiviral immune response and the tendency for asthma exacerbation evoked by common respiratory viruses could explain increased susceptibility to SARS-COV-2 infection. Rodzina stanowiąca naturalne środowisko wychowawcze dla młodego pokolenia, nie zawsze prawidłowo wywiązuje się z ról i zadań wychowawczych. Zdarzenia losowe, dysfunkcje powodują, iż role te zostają odwrócone, tj. dzieci przejmują zadania dorosłych. Określa się to terminem parentyfikacja. Celem podjętych badań było poznanie przeżywanych w okresie dzieciństwa doświadczeń związanych z parentyfikacją z perspektywy młodych dorosłych. Effects of training on bone metabolism in young athletes

Purpose. This study investigated the effects of two types of training on the bone formation marker of osteocalcin and the bone resorption marker of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase isoenzyme 5b (TRAP5b) in young track and field boys and girls. Methods. The 14-year-old group (10 boys, 10 girls) performed first time an intensive and supervised 8-week plyometric training. In the 17-year-old group (13 athletic boys, 6 control boys, 12 athletic girls, 6 control girls), the normal many-sided track and field training lasted 6 months. Results. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää kolmevuotiaiden lasten fyysisen aktiivisuuden määrä ja intensiteetti sekä selvittää täyttyvätkö alle kouluikäisten Varhaiskasvatuksen liikunnan suositukset (2005) kahden tunnin reippaasta päivittäisestä liikunnasta tutkimukseen osallistuvilla lapsilla. Tutkimuksessa vertailtiin myös poikien ja tyttöjen sekä arki- ja viikonlopun päivien välisiä eroja. Aineisto kerättiin 14 vapaaehtoisesta päiväkodista elokuusta lokakuuhun 2010. Regardless of other duties, one of the socially assigned tasks in the role of grandparent is to take care for grandchildren. Cel pracy. Ocena stanu szkieletu u dzieci i młodzieży z cukrzycą typu 1 przy użyciu ilościowej metody ultradźwiękowej paliczków dłoni. Materiał i metody. W badaniu wzięło udział 152 pacjentów, 82 chłopców i 70 dziewcząt z cukrzycą typu 1, w wieku – średnio: dziewczęta 13,11±2,93, chłopcy 12,89±3,12. Średni czas trwania choroby wynosił u dziewcząt 4,66±2,43, a u chłopców 4,19±2,36 lata. Średnia wartość hemoglobiny glikowanej HbA1c w dniu badania wynosiła w grupie dziewcząt 7,1±1,3%, a w grupie chłopców 7,2±1,2%.
