Background To prepare for surgery, surgeons often recur to surgical videos, with YouTube being reported as the preferred source. This study aimed to compare the evaluation of three surgical trainees and three senior surgeons of the 25 most viewed laparoscopic appendectomy videos listed on YouTube. Improvements in living conditions and progress in medical management have resulted in better quality of life and longer life expectancy. Therefore, the number of older people undergoing surgery is increasing. Frailty is often described as a syndrome in aged patients where there is augmented vulnerability due to progressive loss of functional reserves. L’endometriosi coinvolge l’apparato urinario in circa 1-2% dei casi e la sede più frequentemente colpita e la vescica. Obiettivo del nostro studio e la valutazione dell’efficacia e della sicurezza del trattamento laparoscopico in corso di endometriosi vescicole, attraverso l’analisi degli aspetti clinici prima e dopo l’intervento. Dal Giugno 2005 al Gennaio 2007, abbiamo trattato mediante chirurgia laparoscopica otto donne affette da endometriosi vescicale. Traumatic Isolated Intramural Duodenal Hematoma Causing Intestinal Obstruction

A 21-year-old man was admitted 36 hours after a blunt abdominal trauma occurred during a sporting competition. He complained of colic epigastric abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. He was hemodynamically stable; blood counts and metabolic panel were normal. Abdominal CT showed an intestinal obstruction caused by an 8 x 6 x 11 cm hematoma on the right lateral duodenal wall without signs of active bleeding (Figure 1).
