En todas ellas, y a diferencia del presentismo de las películas de 'cruzada', el pasado legendario de España, según la visión de los vencedores de la guerra civil, se convertía en espejo en el que se reconocían las gestas cercanas de 1936. The article reflects on the presence and scope of the discourses of Spanish nationalism in the mass culture through the study of Spanish cinema produced during the years of the Second Republic. It is often assumed that there is a general absence of minorities represented in Japanese cinema, a statement which is justified by the Japanese official discourse that Japan contains"no minorities"1. The Japanese government"s response to the United Nations" call for the elimination of discrimination against minorities was an oficial statement that no minorities existed in Japan and therefore there is no discrimination against minorities in Japan. The statement added that Japan believed minority groups should not be discriminated against in those countries where they did exist".

The film The Missing Picture (Rithy Panh, 2013) hinges on a topic of the images of atrocity that arises from the controversies around the Holocaust: the absence of an appropriate image to embody the extreme violence. The images that deal with the Cambodian genocide perpetrated by the Khmer Rouge between 1975 and 1978 correspond to four categories or modes: perpetrator images, liberator images, witnessing images, and creative images. Rithy Panh takes into consideration those categories when he projects his intimate film. Abstract Our proposal raises the urgency to include the defense of sexual diversity in the curriculum of Art Education. We provide visibility mechanisms to sexual minorities in personal and social order, and propose an approach to the subject, especially in training teachers. From aesthetic reflection we must foster a new critical look at Media Education.
