Multiagent-based simulations enable us to validate dierent use-case scenarios in a lot of application domains. The idea is to develop a realistic virtual environment to test particular domain-specic procedures. This paper presents our general framework for interactive multiagent-based simulations in virtual environments. The major contribution of this paper is the integration of the notion of ontology as a core element to the design process of a behavioral simulation. White light can be decomposed into different colors, and a complex sound wave can be decomposed into its partials. While the physics behind transverse and longitudinal waves is quite different and several theories have been developed to investigate the complexity of colors and timbres, we can try to model their structural similarities through the language of categories. A generalization of groups with many almost normal subgroups

A subgroup $H$ of a group $G$ is called almost normal in $G$ if it has finitely many conjugates in $G$. A classic result of B. H. Neumann informs us that $|G : Z(G)|$ is finite if and only if each $H$ is almost normal in $G$. Starting from this result, we investigate the structure of a group in which each non- finitely generated subgroup satisfies a property, which is weaker to be almost normal.
Generalized Hodge classes on the moduli space of curves

On the moduli space of curves we consider the cohomology classes which can be viewed as a generalization of the Hodge classes λi defined by Mumford in [6]. Following the methods used in this paper, we prove that these classes belong to the tautological ring of the moduli space.

In this article we apply the S(M, g)–calculus of L. Hormander and, in particular, results concerning the spectral invariance of the algebra of operators of order zero in ℒ(L2(ℝn)) to study generators of Feller semigroups. The core of the article is the proof of the invertibility of λ Id + P for a strongly elliptic operator P in Ψ(M, g) and suitable weight functions M and metrics g. The proof depends highly on precise estimates of the remainder term in asymptotic expansions of the product symbol in Weyl and Kohn–Nirenberg quantization. A Neurocomputational Approach to Trained and Transitive Relations in Equivalence Classes

A stimulus class can be composed of perceptually different but functionally equivalent stimuli. The relations between the stimuli that are grouped in a class can be learned or derived from other stimulus relations. If stimulus A is equivalent to B, and B is equivalent to C, then the equivalence between A and C can be derived without explicit training. In this work we propose, with a neurocomputational model, a basic learning mechanism for the formation of equivalence.
