Darbs pēta klimata pārmaiņu fenomenu Ričarda Pouersa romānā The Overstory, analizējot to no ekokritikas perspektīvas. Pētījuma metodes ietver klimata pārmaiņu, to attēlojuma literatūrā un ekokritikas teorētisko pētījumu, kā arī praktisko pētījumu (detalizētu lasīšanu un ekokritisku analīzi). Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka daba un klimata pārmaiņas romānā attēlotas kā process, ko ietekmē cilvēku rīcība. Orthotrichum pulchellum is a species of epiphytic moss in which a significant expansion from the oceanic part of Europe to the east of the continent has been observed in the recent two decades. The improvement in air quality in Central and Eastern Europe, but also climate change, probably plays a role in this. This study shows what direction of its spreading we can expect in the future. Climate change, vulnerability and the local adaptation strategies of food enterprises in Finland

2015

This chapter discusses vulnerability and the adaptation strategies of Finnish food supply chains in the context of climate change. A case study was conducted in 2012 within three Finnish regions. The people interviewed were food entrepreneurs, the managers of food enterprises and relevant stakeholders. According to the study, food enterprises seem to trust local and decentralised food supply chains as an adaptation strategy for combating climate change. Hence, the case study discusses the benefits and learning challenges of food supply chain localisation and introduces the idea of food supply chains that react proactively to climate change issues. nonPeerReviewed
