Co-development of the national monitoring system for the joy of motion, physical activity and motor skills for pre-school-aged children in Finland

In recent years, we have got more information on physical activity and motor skills of preschool-aged children in Finland. However, national monitoring system for this age groups is still lacking in Finland like in many other European countries too. This presentation describes the process and recent results of an on-going research and development project JOYPAM - monitoring the joy of motion, physical activity and motor skills for pre-school-aged children. Maailma muuttuu monimutkaisemmaksi ja vaatii muun muassa STEM*-osaamista ja lukutaitoa oppijoilta, yhteisön jäseniltä ja yhteiskunnilta. Siksi laadukkaalle varhaiselle STEM-koulutukselle tarvitaan laajaa puolustamista. Tässä artikkelissa hahmotellaan, kuinka vaikutusverkostot (joita on muodostettu käsittelemään monimutkaisia sosiaalisia tai ympäristökysymyksiä) voivat edistää varhaisen STEM-koulutuksen kehittämistä ja ammattimaistumista. Building a versatile portfolio of public and private digital-enabled services is vital in rural and sparsely populated regions, where traditional market mechanisms alone cannot guarantee the availability of essential services. However, contemporary services tend to build on prevalent institutions, often governed by decisions based on market mechanisms, such as economies of scale – service-by-service and village-by-village.
