'Esta tesis presenta un estudio sobre el uso de estrategias metacognitivas y su impacto en la comprensión lectora en inglés como LE de estudiantes universitarios españoles. Se analiza dónde se encuentran las deficiencias, en su caso, y cómo pueden ser superadas mediante intervenciones didácticas apropiadas. En esta Tesis Doctoral se ha identificado la estructura neurocognitiva que sustenta la creatividad humana a partir del análisis conjunto de más de 800 referencias bibliográficas que muestran las investigaciones más importantes realizadas hasta la fecha. Sobre la base de esta estructura, se ha identificado un paradigma neurocognitivo de la creatividad humana y se ha propuesto un modelo neurocognitivo del proceso creativo. Objective Synthesizing research on social cognitive theories applied to health behavior is an important step in the development of an evidence base of psychological factors as targets for effective behavioral interventions. However, few meta-analyses of research on social cognitive theories in health contexts have conducted simultaneous tests of theoretically-stipulated pattern effects using path analysis. We argue that conducting path analyses of meta-analytic effects among constructs from social cognitive theories is important to test nomological validity, account for mediation effects, and evaluate unique effects of theory constructs independent of past behavior. A Psychoacoustic Model of Harmonic Cadences - A Preliminary Report

This report presents a psychoacoustically derived computational model of the perceived distance between any two major or minor triads, the degree of activity created by any given pair of triads, and the cadential effectiveness of three-triad progressions. It also provides statistical analyses of the ratings given by thirty-five participants for the ?similarity? and ?fit? of triads in a pair, and the ?cadential effectiveness? of three-triad progressions. Multiple regressions show that the model provides highly significant predictions of the experimentally obtained ratings.
