Nowe dane o rozmieszczeniu 50 gatunków ryjkowców (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea) w Polsce

Fifty weevil species have been recorded from new localities in Poland. They belong to four families: Anthribidae (1), Apionidae (6), Nanophyidae (2) and Curculionidae (41). The new records, 124 in all, are from 64 UTM squares (10×10 km) in 17 of 24 regions of Poland, according to the division adopted from the Catalogus Faunae Poloniae issued in 1971-2000. Nearly half of them (57) are first records for a region. The largest numbers of the new records are from the Małopolska Upland (13), the Pomeranian Lakeland (8), Upper Silesia (7) and the Wielkopolsko-Kujawska Lowland (5). The cosmopolitan genus Glischrochilus Reitter, 1873 (Nitidulidae: Cryptarchinae) is distributed in Holarctic and Oriental regions. According to the most recent catalogue (Jelínek & Audisio 2007), 32 species are known from the Palaearctic region. In China the genus is represented by 13 species, most of which were described by Jelínek (1975, 1982, 1999) and Lasoń (2009).

Calomera panormitana panormitana (Ragusa, 1906) (Coleoptera Cicindelidae) is an endemic species of Sicily, of remarkable biogeographic and ecological importance. It belongs to a small group of species of eastern Mediterranean distribution and it is peculiar for living on the low rocky coasts, near the sea. In this paper we provide new and summarized data on the presence of this species in Sicily. Wolbachia prevalence and diversity in selected riverine predatory beetles (Bembidiini and Paederini)

Despite the many studies on Wolbachia in Coleoptera, data about the prevalence of this bacterium among ground and rove beetles are missing. This study describes Wolbachia distribution and diversity in predatory beetles co-habiting the same environment - submontane river channels. Three species of Paederini (Staphylinidae) and four Bembidiini (Carabidae) were collected from six river catchments of the Carpathians. The current state of knowledge on the fungus weevils (Coleoptera: Anthribidae) of Lower and Upper Silesia is presented. On the basis of data from literature and gathered by authors, from Lower Silesia 19 species have been recorded until now, while from Upper Silesia 17 species. Three species ( Choragus horni, Ch. sheppardi, Pseudeuparius sepicola) are new for these regions.
