Common fixed point theorems for families of occasionally weakly compatible mappings

2011

We prove some common fixed point theorems in probabilistic semi-metric spaces for families of occasionally weakly compatible mappings. We also give a common fixed point theorem for mappings satisfying an integral-type implicit relation.

Coincidence and fixed points for contractions and cyclical contractions in partial metric spaces

2012

Abstract We prove some coincidence and common fixed point results for three mappings satisfying a generalized weak contractive condition in ordered partial metric spaces. As application of the presented results, we give a unique fixed point result for a mapping satisfying a weak cyclical contractive condition. We also provide some illustrative examples. Common fixed points of mappings satisfying implicit contractive conditions

2012

In this article we obtain, in the setting of metric spaces or ordered metric spaces, coincidence point, and common fixed point theorems for self-mappings in a general class of contractions defined by an implicit relation. Our results unify, extend, generalize many related common fixed point theorems from the literature. Mathematics Subject Classification (2000): 47H10, 54H25.

Nonlinear psi-quasi-contractions of Ciric-type in partial metric spaces

2012

In this paper we obtain results of fixed and common fixed points for self-mappings satisfying a nonlinear contractive condition of Ciric-type in the framework of partial metric spaces. We also prove results of fixed point for self-mappings satisfying an ordered nonlinear contractive condition in the setting of ordered partial metric spaces.

Common fixed point theorems for (ϕ, ψ)-weak contractions in fuzzy metric spaces

2010

Motivated by Rhoades (Nonlinear Anal., 47 (2001), 2683--2693), on the lines of Khan et al. (Bull. Aust. Math. Soc., 30 (1984), 1-9) employing the idea of altering distances, we extend the notion of (ϕ, ψ)-weak contraction to fuzzy metric spaces and utilize the same to prove common fixed point theorems for four mappings in fuzzy metric spaces.

A fixed point theorem in G-metric spaces via alpha-series

2014

In the context of G-metric spaces we prove a common fixed point theorem for a sequence of self mappings using a new concept of alpha-series.

On generalized weakly G-contraction mapping in G-metric spaces

2011

AbstractIn this paper, we establish some common fixed point results for two self-mappings f and g on a generalized metric space X. To prove our results we assume that f is a generalized weakly G-contraction mapping of types A and B with respect to g.

An alternative and easy approach to fixed point results via simulation functions

2017

Abstract We discuss, extend, improve and enrich results on simulation functions established by several authors. Furthermore, by using Lemma 2.1 of Radenovic et al. [Bull. Iran. Math. Soc., 2012, 38, 625],we get much shorter and nicer proofs than the corresponding ones in the existing literature.

Nonlinear contractions involving simulation functions in a metric space with a partial order

2015

Very recently, Khojasteh, Shukla and Radenovic [F. Khojasteh, S. Shukla, S. Radenovic, Filomat, 29 (2015), 1189-1194] introduced the notion of Z-contraction, that is, a nonlinear contraction involving a new class of mappings namely simulation functions. This kind of contractions generalizes the Banach contraction and unifies several known types of nonlinear contractions. In this paper, we consider a pair of nonlinear operators satisfying a nonlinear contraction involving a simulation function in a metric space endowed with a partial order. For this pair of operators, we establish coincidence and common fixed point results. As applications, several related results in fixed point theory in a …

Some common fixed point results for weakly compatible mappings in cone metric type space

2013

In this paper we consider cone metric type spaces which are introduced as a generalization of symmetric and metric spaces by Khamsi and Hussain in 2010. Then we prove several common fixed point for weakly compatible mappings in cone metric type spaces. All results are proved in the settings of a solid cone, without the assumption of continuity of the mappings.
