Basque pilota is a traditional sport played mainly by men. A project emerged in 2005 to promote female participation: Emakumea Pilotari (Woman pelota player). In this article we present the main points that emerged from an ethnographic study of the social relationships that playing Basque pilota can provide. The study was carried out in 2011-2012 season with a purposive sample of 28 adult women Basque pilota players (pilotaris) (between 22 and 60 years old). 26 participants were pilotaris in recreational groups and the other two were their trainers. Wittgenstein's theories offer the starting point for looking at the socio-political implications of the language spoken by the institutions in the various historical phases: the communication system with which they relate to the outside world is functional in conveying the sense and scope of their action, building a precise relationship with public opinion. Starting from this assumption, the contribution takes into consideration some aspects of the recent practice of the Constitutional Court, with particular regard to press releases, and proposes an interpretation of the communication breakthrough pursued in recent years, relating it to the exercise of the function of warranty.

Today, organizations are highly complex and diverse. Not surprisingly, various solutions to incorporating mobile tools and mobile communication in organizations have been devised. Today Workflow Management Systems (WFMS), like Taverna and Kepler, have a very important place in the everyday work of the scientist. These tools support the access to computational resources and act as interface for building complex data processing chains. Compression and load balancing for efficient sparse matrix-vector product on multicore processors and graphics processing units

We contribute to the optimization of the sparse matrix-vector product by introducing a variant of the coordinate sparse matrix format that balances the workload distribution and compresses both the indexing arrays and the numerical information. Our approach is multi-platform, in the sense that the realizations for (general-purpose) multicore processors as well as graphics accelerators (GPUs) are built upon common principles, but differ in the implementation details, which are adapted to avoid thread divergence in the GPU case or maximize compression element-wise (i.e., for each matrix entry) for multicore architectures. Kokoukset lienevät yleisin työelämän vuorovaikutuskäytänne ja siten organisoinnin keskeinen areena. Kokouksista on kirjoitettu lähinnä opaskirjallisuutta ja kokouksiin keskittyvä tutkimus on lisääntynyt vasta viime vuosina. Kokousteoreettinen jäsennys on kuitenkin edelleen vähäistä.
