Dynamics of Confined Crowd Modelled Using Fermionic Operators

An operatorial method based on fermionic operators is used to describe the dynamics of a crowd made of different kind of populations mutually interacting and moving in a two–dimensional bounded closed region. The densities of the populations are recovered through the Heisenberg equation and the diffusion process is driven by the Hamiltonian operator defined by requiring that the populations move along optimal paths. We apply the model obtained in a concrete situation and we discuss the effect of the interaction between the populations during their motion.

We present a classic interactome bioinformatic analysis and a study on competing endogenous (ce) RNAs for hTERT. The hTERT gene codes for the catalytic subunit and limiting component of the human telomerase complex. Human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) is essential for the integrity of telomeres. Telomere dysfunctions have been widely reported to be involved in aging, cancer, and cellular senescence. Patient-ventilator asynchronies (PVAs) occur when the timing of the ventilator cycle is not simultaneous with the timing of the patient respiratory cycle. Compete and Compromise: Machiavellianism and Conflict Resolution

The aim of our present study was to examine Machiavellians’ conflict management styles that have been neglected in previous research. One hundred eighty three participants completed the Thomas-Kilmann Instrument and the Mach-IV test. A positive correlation was found between the scores on the Mach scale and the scores on the Competing and Compromising subscales, while a negative correlation was found between Mach scores and Avoiding and Accommodating scores. These results coincide with findings on the Machiavellians’ assertive, opportunistic and flexible strategies. Background Wastewater-based epidemiology has been used for monitoring human activities and waterborne pathogens. Although wastewaters can also be used for tracking SARS-CoV-2 at the population level, the reliability of this approach remains to be established, especially for early warning of outbreaks. Methods We collected 377 samples from different treatment plants processing wastewaters of >1 million inhabitants in Valencia, Spain, between April 2020 and March 2021.
