The assessment and monitoring of tourist destinations is now more than ever a prerogative of governments around the world. The contiguous situation caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic is pushing local destinations to adopt new standards that have never been considered until now. A spatial origin‐destination approach for the analysis of local tourism demand in Italy

The article assesses the competitiveness of tourist destinations, while accounting for spatial features of tourism and information on both the origin and the destination of tourists. Using a dynamic spatial panel data model with common factors within the origin-destination framework, it explores unilateral inbound tourism flows in 110 Italian regions from 23 European origin countries over the period 2004-2017. The estimation and test results confirm the need to consider this advanced spatial econometric model. This is the first study on the brand–land link for quality wines with a strong identity produced in extreme territories using the Policy Delphi methodology. The objective of this study is to assess the existence of a relationship between the wine brand and the territory of origin for wines produced in the Etna valley in Sicily (southern Italy). Celem opracowania jest zbadanie relacji między poziomem konkurencyjności rolnictwa w poszczególnych krajach Unii Europejskiej a przeciętną wielkością produkcji rolnej z 1 ha użytków rolnych. Dodatkowo w pracy podjęto próbę określenia charakteru przestrzennych zmian wielkości produkcji rolnej w podziale na sektory. Wyniki opracowano na podstawie metody zmian konkurencyjności Estebana-Marquillasa, która pozwala na diagnostykę potencjału produkcyjnego rolnictwa regionu. Dynamiczna analiza shift share - ocena zmian struktury produkcji zwierzęcej w Polsce

Dynamiczna metoda przesunięć udziałów uwzględnia zmienność wag w kolejnych okresach. Metoda ta została zaproponowana w 1988 przez Barffa i Knighta. Ideą metody jest przeprowadzenie w sposób rekurencyjny obliczeń dla każdych dwóch kolejnych okresów, aby ostatecznie dokonać agregacji wyników cząstkowych. Dodatkowo metoda ta pozwala na określenie tendencji w zakresie przemian gospodarki regionalnej. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie analizy składników zmiany i możliwości jej wykorzystania do diagnostyki potencjału produkcyjnego rolnictwa regionu, a w szczególności wskazanie obiektów wyspecjalizowanych oraz charakteru zmian strukturalnych w zakresie badanego zjawiska.

Przestrzenna metoda przesunięć udziałów stanowi alternatywę klasycznej analizy shift-share, w której nie jest uwzględnione geograficzne położenie rozważanych regionów. Wiele zachodzących zjawisk, ich rozwój czy też kierunki zmian są bowiem uzależnione od przestrzennych interakcji zachodzących pomiędzy sąsiadującymi regionami. Model przestrzennej analizy shift-share został wprowadzony do badań przez Nazarę i Hewingsa. Shippers vs. freight forwarders: Do they differ in their port choice decisions? Evidence from the Spanish ceramic tile industry

The present research aims to compare shippers’ and freight forwarders' port choice criteria in order to identify the main differences between these two decision-makers. Specifically, the research focuses on the port choice of the shippers belonging to the Spanish ceramic tile industry and the freight forwarders who manage their shipments. To do so, a mixed logit model is used with data obtained through a stated preference experiment. According to our results, shippers and freight forwarders differ only in the valuation of the cost attribute, with the latter being more cost-sensitive.
