Fractional integration, differentiation, and weighted Bergman spaces

1999

We study the action of fractional differentiation and integration on weighted Bergman spaces and also the Taylor coeffficients of functions in certain subclasses of these spaces. We then derive several criteria for the multipliers between such spaces, complementing and extending various recent results. Univalent Bergman functions are also considered.

Infinite Dimensional Holomorphy

2019

We give an introduction to vector-valued holomorphic functions in Banach spaces, defined through Frechet differentiability. Every function defined on a Reinhardt domain of a finite-dimensional Banach space is analytic, i.e. can be represented by a monomial series expansion, where the family of coefficients is given through a Cauchy integral formula. Every separate holomorphic (holomorphic on each variable) function is holomorphic. This is Hartogs’ theorem, which is proved using Leja’s polynomial lemma. For infinite-dimensional spaces, homogeneous polynomials are defined as the diagonal of multilinear mappings. A function is holomorphic if and only if it is Gâteaux holomorphic and continuous…

Flat lightlike hypersurfaces in Lorentz–Minkowski 4-space

2009

Abstract The lightlike hypersurfaces in Lorentz–Minkowski space are of special interest in Relativity Theory. In particular, the singularities of these hypersurfaces provide good models for the study of different horizon types. We introduce the notion of flatness for these hypersurfaces and study their singularities. The classification result asserts that a generic classification of flat lightlike hypersurfaces is quite different from that of generic lightlike hypersurfaces.

On the inverse absolute continuity of quasiconformal mappings on hypersurfaces

2018

We construct quasiconformal mappings $f\colon \mathbb{R}^{3} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{3}$ for which there is a Borel set $E \subset \mathbb{R}^2 \times \{0\}$ of positive Lebesgue $2$-measure whose image $f(E)$ has Hausdorff $2$-measure zero. This gives a solution to the open problem of inverse absolute continuity of quasiconformal mappings on hypersurfaces, attributed to Gehring. By implication, our result also answers questions of V\"ais\"al\"a and Astala--Bonk--Heinonen.

The horospherical Gauss-Bonnet type theorem in hyperbolic space

2006

We introduce the notion horospherical curvatures of hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space and show that totally umbilic hypersurfaces with vanishing cur- vatures are only horospheres. We also show that the Gauss-Bonnet type theorem holds for the horospherical Gauss-Kronecker curvature of a closed orientable even dimensional hypersurface in hyperbolic space. + (i1) by using the model in Minkowski space. We introduced the notion of hyperbolic Gauss indicatrices slightly modified the definition of hyperbolic Gauss maps. The notion of hyperbolic indicatrices is independent of the choice of the model of hyperbolic space. Using the hyperbolic Gauss indicatrix, we defined the principal hyperbolic curv…

Kodaira dimension of holomorphic singular foliations

2000

We introduce numerical invariants of holomorphic singular foliations under bimeromorphic transformations of surfaces. The basic invariant is a foliated version of the Kodaira dimension of compact complex manifolds.

Linearization of complex hyperbolic Dulac germs

2021

We prove that a hyperbolic Dulac germ with complex coefficients in its expansion is linearizable on a standard quadratic domain and that the linearizing coordinate is again a complex Dulac germ. The proof uses results about normal forms of hyperbolic transseries from another work of the authors.

Orlicz-Hardy inequalities

2004

We relate Orlicz-Hardy inequalities on a bounded Euclidean domain to certain fatness conditions on the complement. In the case of certain log-scale distortions of Ln, this relationship is necessary and sufficient, thus extending results of Ancona, Lewis, and Wannebo. peerReviewed

Weighted estimates for diffeomorphic extensions of homeomorphisms

2019

Let $\Omega \subset \mbr^2$ be an internal chord-arc domain and $\varphi : \mbs^1 \rightarrow \partial \Omega$ be a homeomorphism. Then there is a diffeomorphic extension $h : \mbd \rightarrow \Omega$ of $\varphi .$ We study the relationship between weighted integrability of the derivatives of $h$ and double integrals of $\varphi$ and of $\varphi^{-1} .$

The Fatou coordinate for parabolic Dulac germs

2017

We study the class of parabolic Dulac germs of hyperbolic polycycles. For such germs we give a constructive proof of the existence of a unique Fatou coordinate, admitting an asymptotic expansion in the power-iterated log scale.
