Crystal structure, spectroscopic characterization and Hirshfeld surface analysis of trans-diaqua[2,5-bis(pyridin-4-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole]dithioc…
2019
The NiII atom in the mononuclear title complex has an almost regular octahedral N4O2 coordination geometry. In the crystal, the complex molecules are linked in a three-dimensional network through strong O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds.
Preparation of potentially porous, chiral organometallic materials through spontaneous resolution of pincer palladium conformers.
2013
Understanding the mechanism by which advanced materials assemble is essential for the design of new materials with desired properties. Here, we report a method to form chiral, potentially porous materials through spontaneous resolution of conformers of a PCP pincer palladium complex ({2,6-bis[(di-t-butylphosphino)methyl]phenyl}palladium(II)halide). The crystallisation is controlled by weak hydrogen bonding giving rise to chiral qtz-nets and channel structures, as shown by 16 such crystal structures for X = Cl and Br with various solvents like pentane and bromobutane. The fourth ligand (in addition to the pincer ligand) on palladium plays a crucial role; the chloride and the bromide primaril…
The influence of soft acidic drinks in exposing dentinal tubules after non-surgical periodontal treatment: a SEM investigation on the protective effe…
2007
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the different smear layer morphologies produced by instrumentation with a hand curette and a periodontal sonic scaler for potential removal by soft acidic solution. The effect of a new oxalate-containing phytocomplex spray in preventing tubules exposure after citric acid solution application was also evaluated. Methods: Thirty recently extracted human teeth were used to obtain root dentinal fragments and divided in two groups: Curette treatment (CRT) root planed applying 30 working strokes to each surface using a Gracey?s curette 5-6 and Ultrasonic scaler (USC) treated using a periodontal scaler mounted on an ultrasonic hand-piece for 30 s…

Tworzenie kompleksów inkluzyjnych pomiędzy 5-fluorouracylem a β-cyklodekstrynami
2017
Wykazano istnienie przynajmniej jednego wiązania wodorowego pomiędzy grupą aminową 5FU, a grupą hydroksylową powie…
Surface modification of mineral dust particles by sulphuric acid processing: implications for CCN and IN abilities
2011
Abstract. The ability of coated mineral dust particles to act as cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) and ice nuclei (IN) was investigated at LACIS (Leipzig Aerosol Cloud Interaction Simulator) during the FROST1- and FROST2-campaigns (Freezing of dust). Sulphuric acid was condensed on the particles which afterwards were optionally humidified, treated with ammonia vapour and/or heat. By means of aerosol mass spectrometry we found evidence that processing of mineral dust particles with sulphuric acid leads to surface modifications of the particles. These surface modifications are responsible for the observed reduction of the IN activation of the particles. The observed particle mass spectra sugges…
Ecology, environmental requirements and conservation of corticioid fungi occupying small diameter dead wood
2016
The increasing human impact upon the biosphere of earth is causing profound changes across all spatial scales. The ability to cope with human-induced disturbance varies among organisms; specialist species are more negatively affected than generalist species. Forests are among the most heavily affected ecosystems; especially the dead wood associated organisms are in peril. The earlier research has strongly focused on large diameter dead wood and associated species. The aim of this thesis was to investigate small diameter dead wood and collect systematic information about species richness and abundance as well as habitat and substrate preferences of associated corticioid fungi. Fungal data wa…
