Olleros, alfareros y fabricantes de loza en Ribesalbes, entre 1742 y 1817

El desarrollo de la tradición alfarera en Ribesalbes, y el posterior establecimiento de las primeras fábricas de loza, a finales del siglo XVIII, viene determinado por los condicionantes naturales e históricos de la villa; así como por la influencia decisiva de la Real Manufactura del conde de Aranda, en la vecina población de L’Alcora. En este trabajo, a partir de diversas fuentes documentales primarias, entre las que cabe destacar los libros sacramentales del Archivo Parroquial de Ribesalbes, y la Contribución general de 1817, se constata la presencia de olleros en la Baronía, a principios del siglo XVIII. Assessment of Plant Origin By-Products as Lightweight Aggregates for Bio-Composite Bounded by Starch Binder

Thermal insulation bio-composites made of plant origin by-products as bio-aggregates are one of the ways to decrease the impact of the building and construction sector on CO2 emissions. In this study, three bio-aggregates were analysed for their potential use in the production of bio-composites with potato starch binder. Technologically important properties, such as particle size, shape and compacted bulk density, as well as properties of the resulting bio-composites were identified. Highly efficient temperature-dependent chiral separation with a nucleotide-based coordination polymer.

We report a new chiral coordination polymer, prepared from the cytidine 5′-monophosphate (CMP) nucleotide, capable of separating efficiently (enantiomeric excess of ca. 100%) racemic mixtures of L- and D-Asp in a temperature-dependent manner. The crystal structure of the host–guest adsorbate, with the D-Asp guest molecules loaded within its channels, could be solved allowing a direct visualization of the chiral recognition process.

Refined equivalent single layer formulations and finite elements for smart laminates free vibrations

A family of 2D refined equivalent single layer models for multilayered and functionally graded smart magneto-electro-elastic plates is presented. They are based on variable kinematics and quasi-static behavior for the electromagnetic fields. First, the electromagnetic state of the plate is determined by solving the strong form of the electromagnetic governing equations coupled with the corresponding interface continuity conditions and external boundary conditions. Variable kinematics models and finite elements for nonlinear analysis of multilayered smart plates

Abstract A variable kinematics approach for moderately large deflection analysis of smart magneto-electro-elastic multilayered plates is presented. The approach is based on the condensation of the electro-magnetic state into the plate kinematics, whose nonlinear strain–displacement relationships are expressed in the von Karman sense. This leads to models resulting in an effective mechanical plate, which takes the multifield coupling effects into account by the plate stiffness, inertia and loading characteristics, consistently defined as combinations of the layers material properties. Effect of the UV exposure on the creep behaviour of PLA based green composites

Green composites made of biodegradable matrices and lignocellulosic fibers are receiving growing attention from both academia and industries. Despite a wide literature can be found about mechanical behavior of such kind of composites, at the best of our knowledge, only limited information is available about their creep behavior [1] and no papers have been yet done on the effect of ultraviolet exposition. Numerical analysis of composite plates with multiple delaminations subjected to uniaxial buckling load

Abstract In this paper the buckling and post-buckling behaviour of unidirectional and cross-ply composite laminated plates with multiple delaminations has been studied. Finite elements analyses have been performed, using a linear buckling model, based on the solution of the eigenvalues problem, and a non-linear one, based on an incremental-iterative method. With non-linear method large displacements have been taken into account and also contact constraints between sublaminates have been added to avoid their interpenetration. Reliability Estimation of Optimal Viscoelastic Composite Shells in Critical-Time Calculations

The problem of reliability estimation for optimal viscoelastic composite shells in critical-time calculations is considered. The weight minimization of a viscoelastic composite shell, with constraints on deflections at the critical time, leads to a system deforming unstably, whose deflections grow in time with an increasing rate. A method for estimating the reliability of such shells in calculating the critical time is discussed. This time is regarded as a random variable depending on many, roughly equivalent, factors. An analysis of the reliability is carried out for different values of coefficients of variation, occurring in practice.

Abstract This paper discusses selected aspects of the application of dynamic percolation models to ionic transport in mixed-ion superionic conductors. The discussion is based on an AB lattice gas model with hard-core repulsions and a ratio of τ, 0 ⩽ τ ⩽ ∞, between the transition rates of particles A and B. The frequency-dependent conductivity for a tracer particle is calculated within an effective-medium theory. The motion of the background B-particles is regarded as providing a fluctuating disordered environment for the tracer particles A.
