Summary: The psychological conflict faced by the Adolescents in confronting Family and religious practices and individual autonomy is a complex issue. This reality exists in all social contexts. One of such ancient context is called Tamil Culture, in the southern part of India. Our research is focused on Adolescents of this ancient Tamil Cultural Context. Thus the aim of this thesis is to understand the psyche of the Adolescents of Tamil culture, in South India, comparing with Tamil immigrants from Sri Lanka living in Palermo, South Italy. The Symptom in the Group Situation

Group analysis is a methodology that localizes the interactions arising from patients' symptoms and personality disorders. This marks the passage from a clinical-character aspect to a direct vision of the conflictual and unconscious borders between Ego and Superego. Thus the traumatic personal history of the individual is relatively freed from the constrictions of the repetition compulsion present in the symptomatic structures. The author maintains that combined therapy (a weekly group session and a weekly individual session) reduces cases of abandonment of the group caused by the deepest resistances of the id.

Los pensamientos intrusos no deseados con contenidos similares a las obsesiones clínicas, constituyen una experiencia prácticamente universal en adultos sin psicopatologías. Sin embargo, no existen apenas evidencias de la presencia de estas introsiones en población infantil y pre-adolescente. En este trabajo se presenta el Inventario de Pensamientos Intrusos Obsesivos para Nif'los y Adolescentes (INPIOS-NA), que recoge en 45 items la frecuencia con que se experimentan intrusiones con temática obsesivo-compulsiva.
