Abstract The aim of this study was to compare the effects of game design modification, the type of the goal and the number of players on the intensity of play in small-sided soccer games (SSGs) in youth elite players. Twenty young soccer players (age 13.7 ± 0.5 years, body mass 57.4 ± 7.8 kg, body height 1.67 ± 7.8 m, maximal heart rate 201.1 ± 8.2 beats/min) performed three types of SSGs (possession play (PP) vs. regular goals (RG) vs. small goals (SG)) in both four-a-side and six-a-side formats. Fuzzy Systems Based on Multispecies PSO Method in Spatial Analysis

We present a method by using the hierarchical cluster-based Multispecies particle swarm optimization to generate a fuzzy system of Takagi-Sugeno-Kang type encapsulated in a geographical information system considered as environmental decision support for spatial analysis. We consider a spatial area partitioned in subzones: the data measured in each subzone are used to extract a fuzzy rule set of above mentioned type. We adopt a similarity index (greater than a specific threshold) for comparing fuzzy systems generated for adjacent subzones.

Estimating eruptive parameters is fundamental to assess the volcanic hazards posed to the community living at the edge of active volcanoes. Here, we analyzed satellite remote sensing data by using machine learning unsupervised and supervised techniques and analytical approaches, i.e., mathematical-physics and statistics formulations, to map lava flows emitted during the long sequences of short-lived, violent eruptions occurred at Etna volcano between December 2020 and March 2021.
