Enquête sur l’atelier : histoire, fonctions, transformations
2014

Legal-Economic Ownership and Generational Transfer in Family Business: Facets of Owner's Responsibility
2010
In the following paper a conceptual framework of the owner’s responsibility is created in order to study the transgenerational legal-economic ownership in the family business. Responsible ownership involves a sense of accountability and entrepreneurship to some extent. However, legal and social responsibilities naturally supplement each other in the family firm. Owners by means of personal relationships and financial guarantees are responsible for carrying out daily business operations and maintaining a balance with the stakeholders. The certain constituents of the estate planning are evaluated through the lens of responsibility. As a final step, the following study provides a synthesis mat…
The World Hobbit Project in Finland : Audience responses and transmedial user practices
2016
This article examines audience engagement with The Hobbit fantasy film trilogy as a participatory and transmedial experience. To do so, we use the data collected by The World Hobbit Project in order to investigate the transmedial user practices of the Finnish audience of the trilogy. We will, firstly, look at what kinds of transmedial user practices – and transmedia users – emerge from our data. Secondly, we will ask the following questions: How do transmedia users receive and experience the films? What are the meanings assigned to The Hobbit films and the fantasy texts and user practices related to them, and what do these meanings tell of the broader meanings and uses of fantasy? Doing so,…

A parallel radix-4 block cyclic reduction algorithm
2014
A conventional block cyclic reduction algorithm operates by halving the size of the linear system at each reduction step, that is, the algorithm is a radix-2 method. An algorithm analogous to the block cyclic reduction known as the radix-q partial solution variant of the cyclic reduction (PSCR) method allows the use of higher radix numbers and is thus more suitable for parallel architectures as it requires fever reduction steps. This paper presents an alternative and more intuitive way of deriving a radix-4 block cyclic reduction method for systems with a coefficient matrix of the form tridiag{ − I,D, − I}. This is performed by modifying an existing radix-2 block cyclic reduction method. Th…
