The paper presents an overview of the main perspectives on social construction and representation of homosexual masculinities using critical masculinities theory. The analysis considers contemporary cultural representations of gay masculinities as hybrid phenomena that participate to the constitution of hegemonic classed and racialized (normative) masculinities. (Homo)normative masculinities contribute deeply to the process of the subordination of the masculine Other (and of women).
L-Band vegetation optical depth for crop phenology monitoring and crop yield assessment

Vegetation Optical Depth (VOD) at L-band is highly sensitive to the water content and above-ground biomass of vegetation. Hence, it has great potential for monitoring crop phenology and for providing crop yield forecasts. Recently, the Multi-Temporal Dual Channel Algorithm (MT -DCA) has been proposed to retrieve L-band VOD from Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) measurements. The purpose of this work is to study the level of transversality of key competences in Primary Education in the Valencian Community. To this end, an analysis of the Decree 108/2014 cur-rently in effect will be carried out, along with determining the frequency with which each competence is worked on during this stage of education. The data obtained will be interpreted bearing in mind plurilingual programs and, more specifically, the basis of the methodological needs that are pursued in CLIL, the approach to teaching non-linguistic areas through a foreign language. Empathy, emotional intelligence, and communication in Nursing: The moderating effect of the organizational factors

Objective: to evaluate the relation and the moderating effect of the organizational factors on the attitudes towards communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence in the nurses. Method: a cross-sectional study was conducted with a convenience sample of 268 nurses from Valencia, Spain. The attitudes towards communication were evaluated by means of the specifically designed instrument, those towards empathy with the Jefferson’s Scale of Empathy for Nursing Students, and those towards emotional intelligence by means of the Trait Meta-Mood Scale, consisting of 24 items.
