There is little knowledge about the ways geriatric physiotherapy is being carried out in practice and about the situational construction of formal policies for promoting physical activity. This article examines how professional physiotherapists and frail community-dwelling older adults as their clients use talk and action to construct a group exercise session in an inpatient rehabilitation setting in Finland. Background. Large full-thickness defects of the lower lip need free tissue transfer. The free forearm flap is the more widespread technique for free flap lower lip reconstruction, but it results in a static lip. The authors describe a technique of morphodynamic sensate reconstruction of the lower lip with a free gracilis flap and a musculomucosal flap. Methods. The PHQ-15 is widely used as an open access screening instrument for somatic symptoms in different health care settings. The objectives of the study were to contribute to the construct validity and to generate normative data for the PHQ-15.The survey was conducted in the general population in Germany from August 2011 to November 2014 (n=9250). Post Surgical Pyoderma Gangrenosum in flap surgery: diagnostic clues and treatment recommendations

Background: Post Surgical Pyoderma Gangrenosum (PSPG) is a neutrophilic dermatosis causing aseptic necrotic ulcerations within surgical sites. It is often misdiagnosed as infection or ischemia and worsened by the inappropriate treatment. Therefore diagnostic clues must be identified and awareness for PSPG raised.Methods: We present two cases of PSPG after flap surgery and a review of the literature.Results: Seventeen cases of PSPG after flap surgery were found. Fever, pain and redness are the most common initial symptoms. In 63%, lesions were on the flap and the adjacent skin. In 63%, the donor site is also involved. Background: Free tissue transfer necessitates vigilant postoperative monitoring for vessel occlusion. Unfortunately, most monitoring methods require experienced personnel and are expensive to use. Furthermore, many tests have low sensitivity, low specificity, or significant delay between vessel occlusion and detection. Abstract Background Despite the potential benefits, the adoption of the minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of borderline resectable pancreatic cancer is still in the initial phase. We investigated the safety and feasibility of the robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy with venous resection/reconstruction (RPD SMV/PV). Methods Since March 2013 to October 2019, a total of 73 RPD and 10 RPD SMV/PV were performed. The two groups were case-matched according to the preoperative characteristics.
