Lifestyle and Empowerment Techniques in Survivorship of Gynaecologic Oncology (LETSGO study): A study protocol for a multicentre longitudinal interve…
2021
IntroductionThe number of gynaecological cancer survivors is increasing and there is a need for a more sustainable model of follow-up care. Today’s follow-up model is time-consuming and patients have reported unmet needs regarding information about their cancer and strategies for managing the consequences of treatment. The main aim of this study is to assess health-related empowerment—in terms of patient education, psychosocial support, and promotion of physical activity—in a new follow-up model by comparing it to standard follow-up in a quasi-randomised study involving intervention hospitals and control hospitals. Methods and analysisAt the intervention hospitals, patients will be stratifie…
Prawo kontrolowanego przedsiębiorcy i jego reprezentanta do zachowania milczenia

Associations between perceived parental psychological control and internalizing difficulties in emerging adulthood: the role of identity
2016
Our study investigated the associations among two expressions of perceived parental psychological control (dependency-oriented parental control [DPC] and achievement-oriented parental control [APC]), identity, and internalizing difficulties among college-attending emerging adults. In particular, our aim was to examine the potential role of identity in the pathways linking both DPC and APC to internalizing difficulties. Our participants included 495 Italian college students (49% males), between 19 and 28 years of age (mean = 23.37 years, standard deviation = 2.35). Our findings highlighted the existence of associations between APC, identity, and internalizing difficulties. Specifically, APC…
Does daily distress make parents prone to using psychologically controlling parenting?
2016
The aim of the present study was to investigate whether parental daily distress in terms of negative emotions is associated with the daily variation in parental use of psychological control with their children. Whether parental positive emotions play a role in the use of psychological control was also investigated. The participants were 149 Finnish families with a child between the ages of 6 and 7 years. Parents’ negative and positive emotions, children’s misconduct, and parental use of psychological control when interacting with their children were measured daily using diary questionnaires filled in by the mothers and fathers over 7 successive days in the fall term of the children’s first…
Parental Affection and Psychological Control as Mediators Between Parents’ Depressive Symptoms and Child Distress
2013
The present study investigated the extent to which parental behavior in daily interaction with one’s child mediates the associations between parental depressive symptoms and children’s daily distress. The participants were 152 Finnish families with a 6- to 7-year-old child. Parents’ depressive symptoms were assessed using the revised Beck Depression Inventory. Children’s distress was operationalized as negative daily emotions assessed by using mother-, father-, and teacher-reported diary questionnaires. Parental affection and psychological control in daily interaction were measured using parent self-reported diary questionnaires. The results of structural equation modeling showed that both…
Supportive Parenting Buffers the Effects of Low Peer Acceptance on Children’s Internalizing Problem Behaviors
2019
Background Children who are not accepted in their peer group are at risk of developing internalizing problem behaviors. It is possible, however, that supportive parenting can provide a buffer against the detrimental effects of low peer acceptance. Objective This study examined maternal and paternal affection and psychological control as moderators of the association between children’s peer acceptance during the critical transition to primary school and level and subsequent development of internalizing problem behaviors from first to sixth grade. Method A total of 608 children (264 girls, 344 boys) were rated by their teachers on their internalizing problems in grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. Child…
Interaction of physical activity, mental health, health locus of control and quality of life : a study on university students in Pakistan
2013
Bazila Akbar Kahn, 2013. Interaction of Physical Activity, Mental Health, Health Locus of Control and Quality of Life: A Study on University Students in Pakistan. Department of Sport Sciences. University of Jyväskylä. Master’s Thesis of Sport and Exercise Psychology. 66 pages Physical activity involvement is considered as beneficial both for physiological and psychological health. In Pakistani society an elevated level of physical inactivity has been identified lately. Nevertheless, studies examining the association between physical activity and psychological health are limited to the young population of university students in Pakistan. University students are considered to be at a risk sta…
'I Show Off, Therefore I Am': The Politics of the Selfie
2016
International audience; Named word of the year by the OED in 2013, the “selfie” is a worldwide phenomenon. Many see these digital self-portraits as markers for the spread of narcissism or signs of the blurring of limits between the public and private spheres. Initially popular with young people, selfies were soon adopted by politicians who, in a mediatized society, are eager to adhere to new vogues and use digital trends to self-promote. Like “digital natives”, they attempt to go viral by turning their cellphones on themselves and tweeting. Contrary to more formal images (official portraits, campaign posters) where politicians are clearly packaged and marketed, self-snapped photos taken on …
A control strategy based on intelligent algorithm (PSO) to perform electrical stimulation systems
2017
International audience; Adjusting stimulation parameters using control strategy based on reliable mathematical model that can predict perfectly the muscle response, may improve the efficiency of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) systems. In the present project, we investigate the PID control tuning based on the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm at the first time in neuro-muscular systems for updating automatically the stimulation pulse amplitude to track a desired force profiles. In the beginning, The PSO algorithm is used to identify unknown force model parameters. Next, optimal PID gains are found by the same intelligent algorithm to improve the control system. The obtaine…
La auditoria como medio de fiscalizacion de las cuentas públicas mexicanas
2017
Abstract: In this article we present the background of control in Mexico, which plays a key role in the LVII Legislature (1997-2000), where it constitutes a new and stronger supreme audit institution, promulgated in December 2000 the Law Audit Institutions of the Federation. Likewise, an analysis of the types of audits conducted Superior Audit of the Federation, each defining and specifying its objectives. It refers to the powers available to the Superior Audit of the Federation, which are conferred on the Supreme Audit Law of the Federation to carry out reviews and audits of public accounts. Moreover, an analysis of the types of opinions issued by this body to the auditees for reporting ye…
