OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to compare crestal bone-level changes, soft tissue parameters and implant success and survival between small-diameter implants made of titanium/zirconium (TiZr) alloy or of Grade IV titanium (Ti) in edentulous mandibles restored with removable overdentures. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This was a randomized, controlled, double-blind, split-mouth multicenter clinical trial. La récente négociation d'une nouvelle convention médicale pour la médecine libérale ne s'est pas effectuée sans difficulté. Le compromis qui a permis la signature de cette convention a retenu le principe d'une responsabilisation des médecins à travers un projet de maîtrise médicalisée. Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD) have been widely used in the passive vibration control of engineering structures, both under wind and seismic loads. Under wind loads, a proper frequency tuning ensures a significant response reduction of the primary structure. In this paper, the strategy of Intermediate Isolation System (IIS) is proposed for the vertical extension of an aggregate of masonry buildings located in Pozzuoli, south Italy. CITES and Cacti a user's guide

This user’s guide covers the widely traded cactus family and how it is regulated by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). The guide explores the major groups of cacti in trade, their distribution, conservation status, use and levels of trade as well as the likelihood of illegal trade. All CITES Appendix I taxa and a wide selection of Appendix II taxa are covered in detail. Major exemptions from CITES regulations are also outlined, including cacti not covered by CITES. The guide includes a fully illustrated PowerPoint training presentation with comprehensive speaker notes on CD-ROM.
