Introduction The phacoemulsification cataract surgery is the most frequently performed surgery and it generally improves vision in over 90% of the patients. Hyperopic patients are a challenge during phacoemulsification especially because of their short eyeball and shallow anterior chamber. A shallow anterior chamber is associated with overall reduction of the safe zone, which may lead to difficulty in creating the corneal incisions, harder capsulorhexis performing, or endothelial complications. Darbs uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 39 lapām. Tas satur 11 attēlus, 1 aptaujas lapu, 11 tabulas and 24 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis: darba galvenais mērķis ir salīdzināt parastās gāzu caurlaidīgās kontaktlēcas ar gāzu caurlaidīgajām intralimbālajām lēcām. Metodes: gāzu caurlaidīgās intralimbālās lēcas tika novērtētas, pētījuma dalībniekiem aizpildot anketu. Rezultāti: pētījuma dalībnieki deva priekšroku gāzu caurlaidīgajām intralimbālajām lēcām un novērtēja to sniegto komfortu, tomēr nebija būtiskas atšķirības starp iegūto redzes asumu abu lēcu gadījumā. Welded constructions are subject to high stresses during operation. One solution for improving the behavior in exploitation of welded constructions in various cases is to use the welding technique “temper bead welding” (TBW). In the paper, the optimization of the geometry of the welded joints by the TBW technique was performed. Thus, corner welded joints made of S355 steel were analyzed.
