Toimitusjohtajan palkitsemisjärjestelmät : liian avokätistä palkitsemista?
2017
You Can Even Walk Alone. Stadium Attendance and Professional Soccer Clubs’ Social Role
2008
The purpose of the paper is to suggest a new perspective on the social role in the community for Italian professional soccer clubs. Our findings loosen the knot between hooligans and clubs and could have important consequences on the club’s corporate social responsibility and marketing strategies. After investigating the impact of stadium attendance on team performance for Serie A and B in seasons 2004/05 through 2006/07, we conclude that crowd plays no role in the winning performance of soccer teams at home. Our proposal consists of two policies hinting at a reconciliation between social and educational role of the sport with the club’s commercial interests. The first policy is to establis…
Patterns of Use of English Synonymous Medical Terms: the Case of Disease and Illness. A Corpus-Based Study
2010
It often happens that terms defined by dictionaries as synonyms have different patterns of use. An example of this phenomenon is represented by the terminological pair disease/illness in medical discourse. The behaviour of these commonly used terms will be an object of discussion in this study. The work is divided into two main sections. The first part takes into account the information included in conventional dictionaries, both bilingual and monolingual, generic and specialized, in order to see if the terms in question are described as perfectly interchangeable or as having different uses depending on the context. Some dictionaries highlight the use, both specific and generic, respectivel…
Family Business Reputation: A Literature Review and Some Research Questions
2010
Although there is a heightened interest in the concept of corporate reputation, only a limited number of studies have been done in the literature. Moreover, the methodological debate of these studies does not reach a sufficient level as well. However, the concept of reputation has affluent dimensions. Especially the organizational context, in which the reputation concept is discussed, is an important methodological issue. In this study corporate reputation has been discussed in terms of family businesses. First, some characteristics of family businesses have been emphasized. Next, some research questions that aimed to explore the meaning of reputation concept for family businesses have been…
The expatriate’s family as a stakeholder of the firm : a responsibility viewpoint
2016
In this paper we argue for the recognition of the expatriate’s family as a stakeholder of the firm during the expatriation. We demonstrate why the expatriate’s family can be regarded as a stakeholder of the parent company and what kind of a stakeholder the family is. Additionally, we argue that the parent company needs to develop and apply a holistic well-being orientation to show stakeholder responsibility in the international assignment (IA) arena. We apply the theory of stakeholder salience to the IA relationship because it provides a theoretical framework for integrating the family into the expatriation process. Yet this theory does not necessarily provide a framework for assessing the …
De participació local. Una proposta metodològica desde la investigació-acció-participativa
2018
Citizen participation is an increasingly prevalent term in our society. In the process of deployment in the municipal area, progressively local corporations make efforts to innovate practices and develop experiences of citizen participation in defining policies and public affairs, and allocating budgets. While innovation has been advanced with regard to the tools and mechanisms to be used to promote participation, many of the initiatives and experiences have focused more on the implementation of the vote than in the different social processes inherent in the participation. Moreover, we are faced with the absence of a methodological guide that allows approaching a project or strategic plan o…

Zarządzanie wiedzą projektową w kontekście społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu
2016

2016
