Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal linkages between the Spanish electricity, Brent crude oil and Zeebrugge (Belgium) natural gas 1-month-ahead forward prices. Following Lutkepohl et al. (2004), we control for the presence of a structural change in the series and then we use the Johansen cointegration test and a vector error correction model (VECM) to embrace the analysis. Additionally, a multivariate generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedastic (GARCH) model is applied to explore volatility interactions between the three markets involved in the study. Abstract According to the theory of wage leadership, if there is free inter-sectoral labor mobility, changes in the level of the wage in the leading sector cause changes in the same direction in other sectors' wage. Moreover, since the traded sector (i.e. Industry) is affected by international competitive pressure, it should act as the leader, because this would be conducive to wage restraint. We apply a Vector Error Correction Model on four macro sectors (Industry, Services, Construction and the Public Sector) in ten EMU countries to test for wage leadership and wage adaptability. In this paper we assess the influence caused by the lack of atmospheric correction of the optical images used to calculate land surface emissivity (LSE). When thermal emissivity is determined by the Vegetation Cover Method (VCM), information from the solar spectrum in order to calculate the vegetation cover fraction is required. The atmospheric correction is performed in this research by using the combination of the Dark Dense Vegetation method (DDV) and the Second Simulation of the Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum (6S) code. Atmospheric radiative transfer models (RTMs) simulate the light propagation in the Earth's atmosphere. With the evolution of RTMs, their increase in complexity makes them impractical in routine processing such as atmospheric correction. Although liraglutide is widely recognized to have glycemic and extra-glycemic effects, few studies have compared these effects in relation to hypoglycemic treatment starting from the diagnosis of diabetes. An Adaptive Robust Predictive Current Control for Three-Phase Grid-Connected Inverters

This paper presents an adaptive robust predictive current control (RPCC) for grid-connected three-phase inverters that exhibit zero steady-state current error. The error correction is achieved by means of an adaptive strategy that works in parallel with the deadbeat algorithm, therefore preserving the typical fast response of the predictive law. The resulting control adapts to any particular L or LCL filter by estimation of the resistive part of the filter. As a variety of the RPCC class of control, it offers the best tradeoff between robustness and speed. © 2009 IEEE.

Controlling a Power Factor Corrected (PFC) boost converter is not a trivial task, because the higher the dynamic performance, the higher is the input current distortion. On the other hand, recent applications of these converters require fast transients in response to disturbances, such as sudden variations of load power, reference voltage and input voltage. Detection of defective elements in an X band array antenna from its near field measurements

An algorithm has been used to detect defective elements errors in array antennas. It has been applied to an X band slot array antenna and good results have been obtained. These have enabled the detection of errors in the manufacture process. We have used spherical near field measurements of the radiated field of the antenna. Then, once the equivalent currents are be obtained, an analysis of these results will be made in order to detect possible mistakes.
