The three-vertex in the closed half-string field theory and the general gluing and resmoothing theorem

1997

In this letter we prove that the half-string three-vertex in closed string field theory satisfies the general gluing and resmoothing theorem. We also demonstrate how one calculates amplitudes in the half-string approach to closed string field theory, by working out explicitly a few simple three-amplitudes.

Decoupling on the Wiener Space, Related Besov Spaces, and Applications to BSDEs

2021

We introduce a decoupling method on the Wiener space to define a wide class of anisotropic Besov spaces. The decoupling method is based on a general distributional approach and not restricted to the Wiener space. The class of Besov spaces we introduce contains the traditional isotropic Besov spaces obtained by the real interpolation method, but also new spaces that are designed to investigate backwards stochastic differential equations (BSDEs). As examples we discuss the Besov regularity (in the sense of our spaces) of forward diffusions and local times. It is shown that among our newly introduced Besov spaces there are spaces that characterize quantitative properties of directional derivat…

Singularities of lightlike hypersurfaces in Minkowski four-space

2006

We classify singularities of lightlike hypersurfaces in Minkowski 4-space via the contact invariants for the corresponding spacelike surfaces and lightcones.

Flat lightlike hypersurfaces in Lorentz–Minkowski 4-space

2009

Abstract The lightlike hypersurfaces in Lorentz–Minkowski space are of special interest in Relativity Theory. In particular, the singularities of these hypersurfaces provide good models for the study of different horizon types. We introduce the notion of flatness for these hypersurfaces and study their singularities. The classification result asserts that a generic classification of flat lightlike hypersurfaces is quite different from that of generic lightlike hypersurfaces.

Global properties of codimension two spacelike submanifolds in Minkowski space

2009

Abstract We consider codimension two spacelike submanifolds with a parallel normal field (i.e. vanishing normal curvature) in Minkowski space. We use the analysis of their contacts with hyperplanes and hyperquadrics in order to get some global information on them. As a consequence we obtain new versions of Carathéodory's and Loewner's conjectures on spacelike surfaces in 4-dimensional Minkowski space and 4-flattenings theorems for closed spacelike curves in 3-dimensional Minkowski space.

Three new physics realizations of the genetic code and the role of dark matter in bio-systems

2010

TGD inspired quantum biology leads naturally to the idea that several realizations of genetic code exist. Besides the realizations based on temporal patterns of electromagnetic elds I have considered three dierent new physics realizations of the genetic code based the notions of many- sheeted space-time, magnetic body, and the hierarchy of Planck constants explaining dark matter in TGD framework. 1. The rst realization - proposed in the model for DNA as topological quantum computer (tqc) - maps the nucleotides A,G and T,C to dark quarks u,d and their anti-quarks assignable to the ends of magnetic ux tubes representing braid strands and connecting nucleotides to lipids of cell membrane. 2…
