Hybrid nanocomposites with ultra-low filling content by nano-coating fragmentation

In the current study, a new technique for the manufacturing of polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) with ultra-low filling content (<0.05 wt%) is presented. Specifically, this method has been validated through the production of polypropylene (PP) nanocomposites with Ag nanoparticles. The presented method first consisted in a metal nano-film deposition on PP pellet substrates by a physical vapor deposition (PVD) sputtering equipment. Subsequently, a percentage of the coated pellet was mixed to uncoated ones via an injection molding machine to produce the PNC in a single step. The cost effectiveness of micro-wind technology is closely linked to the annual energy production plants, which strongly depends on the wind characteristics and on the morphological properties of the installation site. In the paper an analytical model able to predict the whole compressive response of stub CFT subjected to uniaxial compression is presented and discussed. Cases examined re-ferred to member with circular cross-section having length 400 mm and diameter ranging be-tween 88.9 and 457 mm and wall thickness between 6 and 8 mm. Two steel grades of 275 and 460 MPa yielding stress were examined and four concrete grades were investigated (20, 28, 40 and 45 MPa). Mitochondrial cannabinoid receptors gate corticosterone impact on novel object recognition

: Corticosteroid-mediated stress responses require the activation of complex brain circuits involving mitochondrial activity, but the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms are scantly known. The endocannabinoid system is implicated in stress coping, and it can directly regulate brain mitochondrial functions via type 1 cannabinoid (CB1) receptors associated with mitochondrial membranes (mtCB1). In this study, we show that the impairing effect of corticosterone in the novel object recognition (NOR) task in mice requires mtCB1 receptors and the regulation of mitochondrial calcium levels in neurons.
