The maintenance and the rehabilitation of the urban road pavements are not often based on systematic program and scheduling but rather on emergency or on other not identified reasons. Moreover the Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), the only peculiar procedure for the management pavement, finds its own application for highway and motorway, even if it is possible to search the best investment for the urban interstate and arterials. Cost-benefit analysis of road safety measures

Road accidents represent one of the most serious problems faced by the Ministries of Public Health in the World. In Italy for example, in the year 2007 there were almost 330, 000 injuries and 5, 131 fatalities; 230, 871 crashes in all which resulted in an estimated € 30.4 billion financial loss, corresponding to 2% of GDP. In 1999 the National Road Safety Plan (NRSP), among other things, funded the requalification of several unsafe road infrastructures at higher risk of accidents. Rodzicielstwo zastępcze w powiecie kędzierzyńsko-kozielskim

W artykule przedstawiono działania powiatu kędzierzyńsko-kozielskiego realizowane w ramach projektów na rzecz tworzenia i wsparcia rodzin zastępczych. Zaprezentowano także wyniki badań empirycznych dotyczących czynników osobowych warunkujących poziom zaangażowania ojców zastępczych w realizację rodzicielskiej działalności w rodzinnych domach dziecka, obejmujących swym zasięgiem m.in. powiat kędzierzyńsko- -kozielski. W podsumowaniu zaakcentowano zasadność podejmowanych inicjatyw przyczyniających się do wypracowania efektywnych form pozyskiwania rodzin zastępczych oraz podniesienia jakości ich funkcjonowania i w konsekwencji poprawy sytuacji dziecka w pieczy zastępczej.
