Porównanie postaw i poglądów przedstawicieli władz miejskich w Ołomuńcu i Opolu

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badania postaw oraz opinii przedstawicieli samorządów, które przeprowadzono w kadencji 2010–2014 w Opolu oraz Ołomuńcu. Badania miały na celu porównanie poglądów i postaw radnych wobec wybranych narzędzi związanych z partycypacją i demokratycznym sposobem sprawowania władzy na poziomie lokalnym. Badania wykazały, że poglądy i postawy polityków na wybieralnych stanowiskach najbardziej różnią się w tych kwestiach, w których polscy i czescy samorządowcy mają osobiste doświadczenie (np. referendum, budżet obywatelski).

El objetivo del Derecho medieval consistía en la promoción del orden y la paz social, pero ésta se fundaba en la justicia y la verdad. Importance of torsion and invariant volumes in Palatini theories of gravity

We study the field equations of extensions of general relativity formulated within a metric-affine formalism setting torsion to zero (Palatini approach). We find that different (second-order) dynamical equations arise depending on whether torsion is set to zero (i) a priori or (ii) a posteriori, i.e., before or after considering variations of the action. Considering a generic family of Ricci-squared theories, we show that in both cases the connection can be decomposed as the sum of a Levi-Civita connection and terms depending on a vector field. Dissipative soliton resonance as a guideline for high-energy pulse laser oscillators

2010

Dissipative soliton resonance (DSR) occurs in the close vicinity of a hypersurface in the space of parameters of the equation governing propagation in a dissipative nonlinear medium. Pulsed solutions can acquire virtually unlimited energies as soon as the equation parameters converge toward that specific hypersurface. Here we extend previous studies that have recently unveiled DSRs from the complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation. We clearly confirm the existence of DSR for a wide range of parameters in both regimes of chromatic dispersion, and we establish general features of the ultra-high-energy pulses that can be found close to a DSR.
